Apparently people get a little upset when you call Fidel Castro and Adolf Hitler “brilliant”. Who knew?
Former Danity Kane singer Audrey O’Day appeared on Sean Hannity’s show this weekend and did just that. In her words: “I’m not defending [Castro's] behavior in many instances, but I do have to say that I will 100 percent agree he’s an incredibly brilliant man.”
How could she make it worse? Oh, saying the same thing about Hitler might do it. “Listen, I don’t condone Hitler one ounce, but yes, he was a brilliant man. Can you guys say that he wasn’t? He ran a country and convinced everyone of horrible things.” Smooth movie, O’Day.
Luckily O’Day publicists were quick and had her release this statement to MTV News:
Murderers and dictators generally are some of the smartest people out there — they just use their brain power for evil purposes,” O’Day said. ”I don’t condone any of their evil behavior, but I was asked about their intellectual firepower … and in my opinion you can’t have a low IQ and wreak that much havoc on the world. What Hitler succeeded in doing was deplorable. And I hope we never see such an abusive use of power again.

Patrick Dempsey 2
Apparently Grey’s Anatomy hunk, Patrick Dempsey, debuted his first cologne last year called Unscripted. You may be just as surprised as I am, but don’t spend too much time googling the fragrance because he’s coming out with yet another. That’s right ladies, if you’re with a man who doesn’t look like Patrick, well at least they can smell like him with his new cologne which he titled Patrick Dempsey 2.
You may not have heard of it since it’s being sold through Avon and the only people who shop there are old women with hundreds of cats; unless you’d beg to differ.
So what’s the reason for such a boring name for his cologne, Dempsey said, “It’s about the intimacy of two people and the strength you get in a relationship.”
Okay, that is definitely something his publicist came up with. When I think of the Patrick Dempsey 2 cologne, I am NOT thinking about my relationship, or lack of there of; and I’m quite sure no one else is either. Don’t you think.

According to blog.newsok.com, Jessica went to downtown Oklahoma and she “apparently decided to hang some posters of great white sharks around over the weekend. The posters are evidently part of awareness-raising efforts by a conservation group/person called ‘White Mike’. Since Oklahoma is land-locked and thus has little impact on the fortunes – good or ill – of great white sharks, it seems a strange place to put the posters.”

Breitbart says, “Police found the posters”aimed at raising awareness about the sharks’ declining numbers”glued to a downtown bridge, utility boxes and a billboard for the United Way charity.”
The property owners of where Jessica hung the posters, said they aren’t interesting in pursuing criminal vandalism charges. Good thing for Jessica, because “Under Oklahoma law, maliciously defacing property can be a felony punishable by prison time if the value of the damage exceeds $1,000 or more. City officials placed a preliminary value of the damage at between $500 and $700, and Condon said the damage to the billboard would not exceed $500.”

The American youth are so fickle when it comes to lasting love. Paris Hilton has called it quits with boyfriend doug Reinhardt just 3 days after she gushed to E! news about how excited she was to celebrate their 6 month anniversary.
To make the situation just that much worse, , E! news reports that Doug had no idea about the break up when he was called for comment after Paris’ publicist released this statement:
“In response to the inquiry on whether Paris Hilton has split up with Doug Reinhardt, yes, this is true they are no longer together. They remain friends and ask that you please respect their privacy,” a rep for Hilton says.
She should have dumped him via text, it’s heartless, but a lot better than having your business put out by way of public statement to E! news. I think Benji Madden is still single perhaps a reconciliation is in order.

Kim Kardashian is about as fake as this imposter of her above. The biggest reality famewhore around, Kardashian, is backtracking on her engagement lie after her boyfriend Reggie Bush probably socked her in her jaw (no violence intended) for trying to take him off the single market.
Supposedly Kardashian has a new publicist, and while they were gabbing other lies to tell to Star magazine, to make sure she stays in the news, Star decided to take her engagement lie and run with it. Well now Kim is taking it back and blaming everything on her publicist saying, “my new publicist was talking to Star Magazine earlier today and accidentally referred to Reggie as my fiance. It’s totally my publicist fault!”
Gosh, its almost as if Reggie had a knife to her throat telling her to keep his name out her mouth (again, no violence intended). What a great customer Kim is to blame everything on her publicist. She continued lying about not picking out an engagement ring with her family, although I could’ve sworn there were cameras with her when she DID in fact go ring shopping with her sisters to pick out a ring. But she says, “the rumors about me picking out my ring recently are also not true!” Yeah that’s because you did it months ago.

Frank Sinatra’s Hollywood publicist, Lee Solters, has passed away at 79.
Lee Solters was publicist to a large variety of huge stars like Barbra Streisand, Michael Jackson, The Muppets, Dolly Parton, Mae West and Led Zeppelin.
Solters’ public relations firm says the New York native died at his West Hollywood, Calif. home on Monday morning.

Shanna Moakler (former Miss USA and Playmate), resigned as executive director of the Miss California USA pageant, a day after controversial titleholder Carrie Prejean was allowed to keep her crown. Shanna’s rep said, “she no longer believes in the organization.”
On Monday at the pageant conference, Shanna had angrily accused Carrie Prejean “violating the contract she signed with pageant organizers by speaking out repeatedly on behalf of organizations opposed to gay marriage and by failing to disclose she had posed nearly nude for photographs as a teenager.”

Popular True Blood fan site, Trueblood-online.com was pressured by HBO to remove a story. The original story was brought to you here at ThecounT.com, and it featured our writer Lisa Mason Lee.

ThecounT.com recently wrote a story about Lisa’s experience on the HBO show True Blood. The story pictured Lisa in costume and it detailed the overall pleasant experience she had working on the True Blood production. After the story was published on ThecounT.com, numerous True Blood fan sites reprinted it for their readers enjoyment.
These fan sites keep track of the auditions/casting calls, show listings and everything else under the moon relating to True Blood. For instance, ThecounT.com story did not even mention what episode Lisa is going to appear in, but somehow several fan sites figured it out.
Our inside source revealed exclusively to ThecounT.com, that an HBO rep contacted the Trueblood-online.com fan site and demanded that the ‘Lisa Mason Lee on True Blood’ story be retracted, to which Trueblood-online.com promptly complied!

A VERY well known Las Vegas reporter, Richard Abowitz asked Angel for an interview and his publicist declined saying “As far as Criss is concerned, the Q&A won’t happen for a myriad of reasons. Mainly because I’m not happy with the shots you’ve taken at him in the past. Whatever assurance you can give against that happening in this story isn’t enough to forget what has already happened.” Doesn’t Chris know, “Any press is good press?”
