Death Cab for Cutie lead singer Ben Gibbard and actress/singer Zooey Deschanel got married over the weekend, her rep told People Magazine. The couple, who had been engaged since last year, wed near Seattle. That location definitely suits these two indie rockers.
I’ve always liked these two and, over time, have been able to get over my crush on Deschanel and accept their inevitable wedding. Besides, if she’s got marry somebody, I’m glad it’s Ben Gibbard.

That sound you hear is 1,000 angels crying as Harrison Ford informs us that Indiana Jones 5 is definitely in the works.
The actor recently told French magazine Le Figaro, “The story for the new Indiana Jones is in the process of taking form…Steven Spielberg, George Lucas and myself are agreed on what the fifth adventure will concern, and George is actively at work. If the script is good, I’ll be very happy to put the costume on again.”
Interesting that Ford doesn’t confirm if Spielberg’s directing. Perhaps Steven Spielberg is just producing the next film and moving on to direct other films. But maybe that’s wishful thinking.
Shia LaBouef also confirmed the existence of another film earlier in the year, telling BBC that “Steven’s just said that he’s cracked the story.”
Did you guys like the last Indy film? Compared to the previous entries in the franchise, I thought it was sorely lacking. That being said, I would see Spielberg direct anything. Oh, the life of a loyalist.

Lisa Loeb, once the focus of all my love and affection, is now pregnant, People Magazine reports. The singer and her husband, Roey Hershkovitz, are ecstatic to welcome their first child.
“They’re excited to welcome their first child this winter,” said Lisa’s manager. Loeb, 41, married Hershkovitz, 41, back in January. Roey is a music production supervisor for The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien. Mazel tov to the happy couple.
You know, if this was ten years ago, I would be heartbroken to know that Lisa Loeb is not only married but pregnant. But now, I think I’m at peace with the news. Congrats you guys.

Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, the lovable leaders of 18 children on TLC’s 18 Kids and Counting, are expecting this 19th child. Ninteenth! Have they run out of names that start with “J” yet?
“We are so thrilled,” Michelle told People Magazine. “We just couldn’t believe it is happening.”
Really, you can’t believe it? After 18th children you are still amazed by the act of childbirth? Me, I’d be completely bored with it by now. “Oh, another kid? Great, now I have to wait nine months before I can drink again…”
No word from TLC if they plan on changing the title of the show. It’ll surely be good ratings to see the family grow by one more. Let’s start submitting our names for the baby now. I suggest Jolie or Jabberjaw or Jonas…

Chris Brown meets Larry King
Here comes the post-interview damage control.
Clips from Chris Brown’s forthcoming Larry King interview showed the singer saying he “didn’t remember” beating his ex-girlfriend Rihanna. Well, if he doesn’t remember it’s almost like he didn’t do it, right?
His response caused quite a stir so Brown released this rather long statement to People:
“There have been reports on the Internet that I didn’t remember what happened that night with Rihanna. I want to try and set things straight.
“That 30 seconds of the interview they used of me was taken from a one hour interview during which that same question was asked something like four or five times – and when you look at the entire interview you will see it is not representative of what I said.
“The first four times – or however many times it was – I gave the same answer – which was that I didn’t think it was appropriate for me to talk about what happened that night. I said it was not right for me and it really wasn’t fair to Rihanna. The fifth time – or whatever it was – I just misspoke. I was asked, ‘Do you remember doing it?’ and I said, ‘No.’

The Office star John Krasinski and The Devil Wears Prada hottie Emily Blunt are engaged. John’s rep confirmed the rumor to People Magazine.
“We can confirm that John and Emily are engaged,” the rep said. Well, that’s definitely a confirmation. The couple have dated since November 2008. The groom-to-be is 29 and the bride-to-be is 26. Maybe they can throw a joint wedding with The Office star Jenna Fischer, who also recently became engaged. Maybe there’s something in the water over on set. Everyone’s got Marriage Fever.

Jon Gosselin, happy TV star
Jon Gosselin is slamming reports that say he wants off Jon & Kate Plus 8. The reality TV star says the sources are mis-informed.
Speaking to People Magazine, Jon said: “I never said that. A fan asked me, ‘Don’t you sometimes wish you could go back to a 9-to-5 job?’ [And my reply was,] ‘Yeah, because this is 24/7 and 9-to-5ers punch in and punch out and you have no responsibilities.’ “
“Here,” he continued, “You have to watch what you say so it doesn’t contradict something else.”
He later went on to explain that, even in his own house, he’s constantly being photographed and watched. He also said that the kids, though sometimes annoyed at the filming, don’t want it to end yet.
Everyone deserves a break now and again but I still really think that Jon is angling to get off the show sooner rather than later. At the same time, can you blame him? The guy’s life is a circus. Maybe he can quit by pushing the boundaries of what TLC can take. He can just waltz into his living room naked or only talk in rhyme for days on end. Then the fed-up network would get pissed and cancel the show! Gosh, I’m a genius.

Apparently Chris Brown and Rihanna fought often, according to documents released yesterday. The court documents reveal that the couple had gotten into quite a few tussles before the infamous February 8 pre-Grammy faceoff.
In Europe three months before the Grammys, the pair really got into it in their hotel room. Rihanna ended up slapping Chris. Brown responded by shoving Rihanna into the wall. No charges or police reports were filed.
Three weeks before their big fight, the couple was in Barbados when things became heated in their rented Range Rover. Brown ended up exiting the car and breaking two of its windows. Again, no charges filed.
The documents also reveal more about the February 8 argument, including what exactly went down in that car. If anything, this just proves how dysfunctional Rihanna and Brown were. It’s for the best that they’re no longer together. And all it took was a judge for them to see that.

Actress Milla Jovovich and her fiance, director Paul Anderson, are finally tying the knot. Tomorrow, in fact. People Magazine reports that the couple will have a small, private ceremony down here in Los Angeles. The couple have one daughter, Ever Gabo. They have been together since 2002 and he has directed her in the Resident Evil films. Please, let’s not talk about those.
Jovovich has been on record saying the wedding would be small and have a “California-Spanish feeling.” She’s also said her dress will be a “1960’s mini-dress.” Sounds like this wedding will be a lot of fun. I wish I was invited! I take back all the Resident Evil comments I made, guys.
For my wedding gift, I am going to give them both some advice that will serve them well: Stop making Resident Evil films. Nothing against you two, just stop. Please. America thanks you.

Jason Schwartzman, newly married man
Jason Schwartzman, star of Rushmore, The Darjeeling Limited, Shopgirl and, most recently, Funny People got married. His rep confirms that the actor/musician (check out his albums if you haven’t. He goes by the alias Coconut Records) got hitched to eco-friendly clothing designer Brady Cunningham back in July.
“It was a very small ceremony with many family members and close friends,” Matt Labov, Schwartzman’s rep, told People Magazine. The two had been engaged since earlier in the year. They had a small ceremony in the San Fernando Valley.
