Not only is Taylor Swift completely adorable and very polite in the face of rude behavior, she’s also a super generous tipper.
Taylor and friend Emma Stone hit up Serendipity 3 in New York City on Monday night, just one day after the huge Kanye West outburst. Swift bought cheese ravioli and a soda. The tab for meal was $60, which Taylor picked up. The amazing fact is that Taylor left a $24 tip! Holy cow, $24 for a $60 bill? Could she be any sweeter?
Let’s hope that when Kanye and Taylor eventually have their sit-down, make-up lunch she picks up the bill.

DJ AM — also known as Adam Goldstein — has passed away, according to sources within the NYPD.
The famous DJ, who survived a plane crash with rocker Travis Barker back in 2008, was found dead in his New York apartment around 5 PM today. Drug paraphernalia, including prescription drug bottles, were also found in the apartment.
TMZ is reporting that the body has not yet been removed from the apartment. The police were called after friends hadn’t seen Goldstein in several days.
He was 36.
5:49: Authorities are saying a “crack pipe” was found on the scene. Goldstein had spoken publicly about his past addictions to crack cocaine. The prescription pills were found in his kitchen.

R.I.P.
Sad news today as we learn that director John Hughes, whose films included The Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles, Pretty in Pink and many, many more has passed away. He was only 59.
Hughes suffered a heart attack while visiting family in New York and died earlier today, a spokeswoman said. No official statement has been released by his family just yet.
There are so many memorable characters and stories from John Hughes that it’s sad to see him go. When I think of his films, I think of a smiling John Candy or a young Molly Ringwald or, of course, the group from The Breakfast Club. Not only did he direct several classics, he also produced many films that are ingrained into our cultural DNA. I think he set the standard when it came to coming-of-age stories. Even though he was much older than his subjects, he understand the simple troubles and issues that young people faced and portrayed them honestly.
He will be missed.

Cameron Douglas
Cameron Douglas, the son of Oscar-winning actor Michael Douglas, was arrested last week in New York on drug charges. Sources say the 30-year-old was arrested on charges of planning to distribute methamphetamine. The actor, who has been arrested in 2007 for cocaine charges, was picked up by a drug task force at the Hotel Gansevoort in Manhattan.
No comments have been released by the Douglas family, the police, or the hotel.

Fresh out of LA’s Cedar-Sinai Hospital where she involuntary hospitalized for undisclosed reasons — sources report that Mischa stayed in the VIP section, and was smoking cigarettes with model cronies Daisy Lowe and Karolina Kurkova.

Rapper 50 Cent’s 19 bedroom, and 37 bathroom, 50,000-square-foot mansion, is now selling for $10.9 Million. The mansion also has a gym, billiards rooms, racquetball courts and a disco with stripper poles. The mansion was previously owned by Mike Tyson.
The mansion originally was selling for $18.5 Mil a couple years ago. It then dropped to $14.5 Mil late last year. Now it’s $10.9 Mil.
50 Cent says he’s tired of the two-hour commute from Farmington, CT to New York City and wants to downsize.

Brand
The MTV Video Music Awards will be returning to New York City this year. The festivities will take place on September 13 and will have performances from Taylor Swift and the great British rock band Muse, among others.
This year’s host, Russell Brand, will once again lead the chaos. Brand made a little controversy this year when he made fun of the Jonas Brothers‘ purity rings. No need to make fun of that anymore, considering one of the boys is trading his purity ring in for a wedding ring. Personally, I thought Brand was really funny last time but I think I may have been in the minority. You could hear a pin drop during some of his jokes. Oh well.
Apparently the show won’t be held in just one venue. MTV says the awards ceremony will take place all over NYC, including Madison Square Garden and Radio City Music Hall. Whatever helps to make it more interesting. The VMA’s have been lacking lately. What used to be inventive and exciting has now become repetitive and bland. Let’s hope that a return to New York will liven the show up.

Rihanna and her ink
Rihanna is a big fan of getting tattoos but now it seems that she’s into giving them as well.
Rihanna was in New York to get a tattoo from her usual artist but decided she wanted to ink a tattoo on him and two other artists. The artists were more than happy to receive Rihanna’s art. Apparently, she drew an umbrella with a little R underneath it.
That sounds like a lot of fun but the New York City Health Department thinks it’s inappropriate and, worse yet, illegal.
“Only licensed tattoo artists can administer tattoos in the city according to the City’s Health Code,” said Erin Brady of the NYC Health Department. However, it seems unlikely that the superstar will be fined in anyway. Besides, hasn’t she had enough legal trouble this year?
