Silly Tommy Lee got himself burned playing with sparklers…
The burns are bad enough to sideline him from his drumming duties. It could not have come at a worse time as Crue is currently on tour.
Being the enterprising lads that Motley Crue are, they promptly dethroned Lee and replaced him with Sevendust drummer Morgan Rose, while keeping Lee in the subservient position of coming out on stage to announce “I suck.” Then in classic rock-dummy fashion, Tommy passes a Jagermeister bottle to fans in the crowd. All of this in an effort to make them forget the fact- that’s not Tommy Lee playing drums! And by the way, don’t ask for a refund!
If I bought tickets to see a band and they replaced a band member with another guy they had not even rehearsed with, I would be crying “foul!” and I would want my money back, like totally dude.

It has been said before and many times it has been proven false, MySapce, the popular social networking site will start charging customers for their service. However, now the most telling information has come forward about the plan to start charging people, and it comes directly from the horse’s mouth, Owner, Rupert Murdoch.
Murdoch recently said in an interview, “We intend to charge for all our news websites, if we’re successful, we’ll be followed by all media.” “All media” would certainly include MySpace as well as other Murdoch websites such as Fox News.
Other companies who regularly follow Murdoch’s lead would likely copy the pay-to-view websites formula.
Since Murdoch took over MySpace, at one time an online social networking giant, MySpace has lost heavy share to rival “FaceBook” and over 700 MySpace jobs have been cut.
I honestly do not know of a single person who would actually pay to use MySpace, matter of fact I don’t know anyone who actually uses MySpace at all anyore.

As part of routine background checks, the city asks job applicants to provide their usernames and passwords for their social-networking sites. And it has been doing it for years, city officials said.
“Please list any and all, current personal or business Web sites, Web pages or memberships on any Internet-based chat rooms, social clubs or forums, to include, but not limited to: Facebook, Google, Yahoo, YouTube.com, MySpace, etc.,” states a city waiver form applicants are asked to sign. Three lines are provided for applicants to list log-in information for each site.
City officials say the policy is necessary to ensure employees’ integrity and protect the public’s trust.
City Manager Chris Kukulski said the city checks the sites in order to ensure that employees who might be handling taxpayer money, working with children in recreation programs or entering residents’ homes as an emergency services worker are reputable and honest.

Could it be a future blueprint for upping your record sales? Let’s hope not. As it turns out, Soundscan, the company that tracks music related sales, shows an increase of album sales for Chris Brown since he beat on Rihanna.
Maybe his die-hard fans are the reason why. A peek at Brown’s MySpace page documented a steady stream of support for him, incidentally, Brown’s MySpace page has not accepted comments from fans since Feb. 9th, a day after the Grammys and just hours after the attack;

We reported along with MediaTakeOut that Chris Brown sent a text message to his friends asking them to forward the message to “Fans”. Now apparently, the person who ended-up releasing the statement may in fact be “the other woman” in Chris Brown’s life, and is sparking rumors, she is the cause of the fight between Brown and then girlfriend Rihanna.

The headliner of her own show, Katy Perry, just kicked off her tour in Seattle Washington. Did you know that Katy is on tour?

We are wondering what is was like? Good? Bad? One review from SeattleWeekly.com, written about her Seattle concert titled, “Dear Katy Perry, You’re a Hack” did not have anything positive to say about her.
Billboard Magazine reports that “The tour will hit theaters with 1,000- to 2,000-seat capacities; there will also be an 11-date European run, including several U.K. performances, and stops in Japan.
“Our philosophy has always been to sell places out,” says Creative Artists Agency’s Mitch Rose, who worked Perry’s tour. “We set the ticket price at $18-$20 for most markets, because we wanted to ensure a sellout. We could have charged more and we know we’re leaving money on the table, but making sure the rooms were packed was our first priority.”
But just because the rooms are small doesn’t mean Perry will keep her show simple. “I have the guy who creates stages for Madonna working on this tour,” she tells Billboard. “I’m indulging my obsession with fruit and cats and designing all different outfits.”"
Katy ends this story by tooting her own horn:
“All the big pop girls come across as being so scared and so distant,” Perry says. “I understand diva-ness, but I cultivate an image as the pop star next door.
