MN Killer Grandma “Lois Reiss” CAUGHT At South Padre Island, Texas Restaurant

Lois Reiss has been arrested. Law enforcement received a tip that the wanted woman was in South Padre Island, Texas. It is believed that she was arrested at a restaurant Thursday around 8:25 p.m.

(ORIGINAL STORY:) Minnesota woman, Lois Riess, is wanted in connection with her husband’s death and the death of a Florida woman who resembled her. The 56-year-old was planning to steal the woman’s identity after killing David Riess, officials said Friday.

Lois Riess, of Blooming Prairie, Minnesota, is accusing in the shooting death of Pamela Hutchinson, 59, of Bradenton, Florida, in an effort to assume her identity and eluded authorities.

Authorities were called to an area of Fort Myers Beach on Monday and found Hutchinson dead, with gunshot wounds. Authorities aren’t aware of any connection between the two women, but they believe Riess shot and killed Hutchinson to assume her identity. Continue reading

Photo: Indiana Man Discovered Shot After Car Crashes Into Evansville Home

The name of the driver who was shot and killed in Evansville, Indiana, has been released along with the report he tried to tell responding EMS workers his name before taking his last breath.

Vanderburgh County Coroner Steve Lockyear says the victim has been identified as D’Angelo White, of Evansville. He was 28.

Police were called to the home on Washington Avenue around 6 p.m. Monday night because the car White was operating crashed into a porch. The homeowners say the impact felt like an earthquake. Continue reading

SC Man Tony Vander Wood ID’d As Greenville Home Murder Victim

Greenville police say officers are investigating a homicide after Anthony Dean Vanderwood was found with traumatic injuries in his South Carolina home. He was 53.

Vanderwood, aka, Tony Vander Wood, was located dead after police officers responded to a house on Garraux Street Tuesday night to perform a welfare check.

Police said the death was ruled a suspicious homicide.

“The initial findings indicate that the victim appears to have suffered some type of trauma to his body,” said Officer Johnathan Bragg in a news release. After an autopsy, the coroner identified the victim as Vanderwood. Vanderwood suffered blunt force trauma to the head and was strangled, the coroner said. Continue reading
