Audrey O'Day
Apparently people get a little upset when you call Fidel Castro and Adolf Hitler “brilliant”. Who knew?
Former Danity Kane singer Audrey O’Day appeared on Sean Hannity’s show this weekend and did just that. In her words: “I’m not defending [Castro's] behavior in many instances, but I do have to say that I will 100 percent agree he’s an incredibly brilliant man.”
How could she make it worse? Oh, saying the same thing about Hitler might do it. “Listen, I don’t condone Hitler one ounce, but yes, he was a brilliant man. Can you guys say that he wasn’t? He ran a country and convinced everyone of horrible things.” Smooth movie, O’Day.
Luckily O’Day publicists were quick and had her release this statement to MTV News:
Murderers and dictators generally are some of the smartest people out there — they just use their brain power for evil purposes,” O’Day said. ”I don’t condone any of their evil behavior, but I was asked about their intellectual firepower … and in my opinion you can’t have a low IQ and wreak that much havoc on the world. What Hitler succeeded in doing was deplorable. And I hope we never see such an abusive use of power again.

Lady Gaga has been offered to pose nude for the upcoming PETA ad campaign “Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur.” Will LG do it?

Lady Gaga and Kermit
MTV reports:
According to a spokesperson for PETA, the animal-rights organization approached Gaga about posing for the iconic campaign after she appeared in a rather unique Kermit the Frog outfit last month in Germany. It was a look so out there that it made waves on gossip sites and drove radio host Ryan Seacrest to ask the pop star just she was hoping to accomplish with the getup.
“I really loved [it],” Gaga responded. “Because I thought it was [a] commentary on not wearing fur. I hate fur, and I don’t wear fur.”
That answer inspired PETA chief Dan Mathews to pitch the idea to Gaga, and according to a spokesperson, they hope to shoot her covering herself up with just a few playing cards, a nod to her hit “Poker Face” (which, incidentally, earned Gaga four of her nine nominations at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards).
PETA’s spokesperson told MTV News that they are still waiting to hear back from Gaga about posing for the campaign. At press time, a spokesperson for the singer had not responded to MTV News’ request for comment.

Jennifer Love Hewitt, Vampire Enthusiast
People just can’t get enough of those teenage vampires, can they? I thought the hype behind this series would die down some but it hasn’t at all. I mean, if anything it’s GAINING momentum. Now we have a genuine star adding to the hoopla.
Ghost Whisperer star Jennifer Love Hewitt told MTV News that she is dying to be a part of Twilight. In fact, she’d play literally any part.

“I will be the vampire who carries Robert Pattinson’s luggage in the airport. That is the part that I will play if they need it,” the actress told the site. She later went on to praise actor Robert Pattinson and said she’d pass out if she ever met him. You and about a million others girls, Jennifer.
In other news, I still have no idea when the new Twilight films comes out. Forgive me, America.

Hackers broke into Britney Spears and Ellen DeGeneres’s Twitpic accounts over the weekend, spreading false information about the stars. The hackers even went so far to claim that Britney had passed away. The fake message read “Britney has passed today. It is a sad day for everyone. More news to come.”
Twitpic is looking into who did the hacking and how they can prevent future issues. They had to temporarily shut down the entire website for a brief time over the weekend to fix the problems caused by hackers.
Twitpic is a website that allows Twitter users to post pictures. Apparently the hackers were able to get into the system because of a “vulnerability” in the system.

Rihanna and Kanye
Music video director Nabil Elderkin could use a rest. He has been working on ‘Kanye’s “Paranoid” video nonstop since a rough version of the clip leaked online recently.
“That wasn’t even an old version,” a tired Elderkin told MTV News. “That wasn’t even the video. It was just a bunch of footage, like a timeline type of thing to show the idea. That was pre-rough cut.”
The version that appeared online featured an opening with West, then guest star Rihanna appeared in a bedroom scene. Later, the singing beauty was posing onscreen with the camera centered on her, then she appeared in a car-chase type of scene. West, as one can imagine, was upset that an unfinished version leaked and took to his blog, according to MTV News.
“It HURTS ME TO SEE THE OLD AND VERY WRONG VERSION OF THE ‘PARANOID’ VIDEO GET LEAKED OVER THE NET WHILE I WAS ON AN 11-HOUR FLIGHT AND COULDN’T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT,”
