Woman ID’d Accused Of Shooting Trucker Earnest Kummer DEAD At Iowa Rest Stop

The Iowa County Sheriff’s Dispatch named Mariana Lesnic, as the woman accused of an early morning shooting at a rest stop on I-80 in Iowa County on Thursday, September 6.

Lesnic, 43, of New York, New York, was arrested after truck driver, Earnest Kummer, 60, was found slumped over in his semi at the rest stop on I-80 near Victor. Deputies say, Kummer of Monroe, Iowa, died from multiple gunshot wounds.

Lesnic was taken into custody and charged with Kummer’s murder in the First Degree. She is being held in the Iowa County Jail on a $1,000,000 cash only bond. Continue reading
