Louise Linton is the wife of Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin. She wrote a memoir in 2016 about her time in Africa that was regarded as telling the story of a “white savior.”
A former Scottish actress, Linton, 35, got engaged to the former Goldman Sachs partner in November 2015. A year later, it was announced that Mnuchin was then U.S. President-elect Donald Trump’s pick to become U.S. Treasury Secretary.
Trump pick of Mnuchin caused an outcry from supports who reminded the president he vilified Goldman Sachs in most of his controversial campaigns speeches.
