Since the death of Jett Travolta, parents Kelly Preston and John Travolta have kept their grief and emotions private. In the fall Kelly Preston is preparing to speak for the first time about the tragic death of her 16-year-old son.
Kelly is set to give a speech in October at the California Governor’s Conference for Women in a ‘Grief & Resilience’ panel. Maria Shriver, who’s hosting the event, says that if Kelly “can empower one other woman who feels like they can’t get out of bed, or get through the day, whatever the loss, it’ll be worthwhile sharing her story.”
This will be a speech you most definitely will not want to miss.

From the sadness of the loss of their son Jett, People Magazine does a follow up story on John T and Kelly P. I was curious as to how they were doing. I’m not quite sure how Scientology is helping them cope other than receiving kind words from fellow scientologists. I’d be screwed if Scientology was holding me together. And yet this year has been marked by deep tragedy for John, 55, and Kelly, 46, who are still reeling from the sudden loss of their only son Jett on Jan. 2 in the Bahamas. Since his death from a seizure disorder, the family has remained out of the spotlight, even keeping a low profile in their adopted hometown of Ocala, Fla.

John Travolta and Kelly Preston are dealing with the unthinkable, the death of thier 16 year old son “Jett”.
Jett died Friday morning after suffering a seizure on vacation with his folks in the Bahamas.
The family attorney told CNN “At this point, we know that John Travolta and Kelly Preston’s only son, Jett, had a seizure at around 10 a.m. this morning,” attorney Michael Ossi said. “All attempts to revive him were unsuccessful.”
Jett hit his head after the seizure. The autopsy is on Monday. The funeral will be in Ocala, Florida.
