Jennifer Aniston is going to sing and play guitar in her next film! Jennifer Aniston is set to play a 1940’s prisoner in Texas, that forms an all girl country band while in prison.

“The Goree Girls” director Michael Sucsy brought Jennifer’s talent to light saying, “She can sing…and she’s going to learn how to play the Dobro guitar.”

Sucsy said that he has not yet cast the rest of the all girl band. He stated that the future cast won’t necessarily be ‘musicians’. The original Goree girls were not actually ‘musicians’ until they went to prison and learned how to play while they were in there.

Truth about the original Goree girls is that they were pardoned from prison after they released a string of hit songs! Their songs got them out of the clink!

I guess my invite got lost in the mail.  I mean, I assume that Tom Hanks invited me to his swanky, celeb-filled party yesterday.   Brentwood, the city where Hanks lives, isn’t that far from me.  I totally could have made it.

Some of the guests at the party were Paul McCartney, Jennifer Aniston and busy man Conan O’Brien, among others.  I’m sure the Pope was probably there.

Not sure what the party was about.  Celebrating Conan’s new gig?  Celebrating The Beatles Rock Band?  Watching the MTV Movie Awards?  Who knows?  Not me, I wasn’t invited.

In a story from The Hollywood Reporter, Jennifer Aniston and Jason Bateman will be co-starring in the romantic comedy The Baster.

The film will begin shooting for Mandate Pictures this spring in New York.

Bateman and Aniston play Wally and Kassie. When Wally impregnates Kassie through artificial insemination (unbeknownst to Kassie), he realizes that living with this secret is going to be tougher than he thought.

Will Speck and Josh Gordo are directing this project from a screenplay by Allan Loeb. The screenplay is based on a short story by Jeffrey Eugenides.
