“I am at a loss for words.” said Elizabeth Taylor, along with many of Michael Jackson’s fans, friends and family who are in mourning over his passing. In what I am about to tell you in regards to Michael Jackson’s memorial today, will be many, many words that I have conjured up throughout the day that you will hopefully relate to. I know you, along with myself, have been at a loss or maybe a struggle for words too. But we do know that we loved him and he inspired us in many ways. We know that he has affected our souls deep down in indescribable ways. We know that we are sad. We know that Michael loved us. We are searching…
After I left the memorial today, and hours later sitting here writing this, I am able to finally come up with words that make some sense. This journey with Michael for the last week has been a challenging one for you, us and fans around the world. Here’s our story…
Here we are at 6pm PCT, finishing up our beautiful 4th of July weekend…
ON THE EDGE OF OUR SEATS…CROSSING OUR FINGERS TO BE THE LUCKY WINNERS TO MICHAEL JACKSON’S LOS ANGELES MEMORIAL AT THE STAPLES CENTER.
Tick-Tock Tick-Tock Tick-Tock…
*THIS JUST IN* Breitbart news source reports that tickets have begun to trickle out to people who registered NOW! Tonight! Sunday!
“OMG OMG OMG OMG i got tickets to the Michael Jackson memorial service!!!” tweeted Deka Daye from San Francisco. Other messages came from users in Scotland and Iran.”
WHOA! WAIT…Did they just say “messages came from users in Scotland and Iran”? Do they mean that people in other countries get the chance to go to the event? That’s weird because a couple days ago, the StaplesCenter.com stated that “all who register, must be U.S.A. citizens.”
Okay, so did Staples let the “U.S. citizen rule” slide today? Is this a mistake? We aren’t being mean, bias or pompous about ‘other countries’ than America, we just thought the rules were only allowing American citizens to enter the memorial contest. Let’s face it, how are these winners from other countries going make it to the memorial anyway? Flights are probably packed, hotels are jammed…how will they travel the distance to make it on time?
This just in 1:30pm PCT, Associated Press reports that Michael’s funeral and memorial will NOT be held at Neverland Ranch says family spokesperson Ken Sunshine.
The public relations firm Sunshine, Sachs & Associates said they will announce the funeral and memorial plans shortly.
More than 750,000 Michael Jackson fans can get full refunds for the pop star’s canceled 50-night “This is It” concert extravaganza—or opt to receive souvenir tickets instead, the promoters announced Monday.
In a move that could help recoup some of its losses from the ill-fated tour, Los Angeles-based AEG Live said fans could choose to receive the actual tickets, which it said feature graphics “inspired and designed” by Jackson himself.
Images of the tickets, complete with a 3-D effect, can be viewed on the Web site http://www.MichaelJacksonLive.com beginning Wednesday, AEG said in a statement. Fans have until Aug. 14 to take the ticket offer.
For those opting for a refund, all service charges paid to authorized ticket sellers will be included, the statement said.
Michael Jackson’s sister Janet Jackson attended tonight’s BET Awards along with her father Joe Jackson. Janet speaks to the fans very seriously about Michael’s death.
Janet says:
“My entire family wanted to be here tonight but it was just too painful, so they elected me to speak to all of you. I’m going to keep it very short. To you, Michael is an icon. To us, Michael is family. And he will forever live in all of our hearts. On behalf of my family, and myself, thank you for all of your love. Thank you for all of your support. We miss him so much. Thank you so much.”
Popeater reports: Michael Jackson’s spokeswoman says the musician will make a “special announcement” in London this week, amid speculation the reclusive singer will announce his first live concerts in years. Sky News and others have reported that the troubled King of Pop will perform a string of dates at the city’s O2 Arena, the location of Led Zeppelin’s epic reunion gig back in late 2007
Michael Jackson is still alive? I swore he died like 5 years ago and this is just a skinny “stunt double” walking around.
Don’t ask me what kind of stunts the stunt double would be doing …..(Laughing hysterically to myself)…but maybe he flips spoons into his cheerio bowl at record speed.
