A widow is selling her husband’s occupied crypt located directly above Marilyn Monroe in an effort to pay off her mortgage.
Elsie Poncher has an auction running on eBay selling the crypt and has received bids up to $2.5 million.
Up until now Poncher’s late husband has been entombed face down looking at Monroe.
The plot was bought from Joe DiMaggio who sold it to Poncher after divorcing from Monroe in 1954. Poncher died in 1986 at the age of 81, Monroe died in 1962 at the age of 32.
Mrs. Poncher said she plans to move her husband over one crypt, a spot that was reserved for her, and she will now be cremated when her time comes.
Speaking to the LA Times, Poncher said she was doing this to raise enough money to pay off the $1.6 million mortgage on her Beverly Hills home.
“I can’t be more honest than that, I want to leave it free and clear for my kids.”

Ryan O’Neal has shed some light on his bizarre, dysfunctional relationship with daughter Tatum. Speaking Vanity Fair about the loss of his love Farrah Fawcett, O’Neal mentioned this disturbing story:
“I had just put the casket in the hearse and I was watching it drive away when a beautiful blonde woman comes up and embraces me. I said to her, ‘You have a drink on you? You have a car?’ She said, ‘Daddy, it’s me–Tatum!’ I was just trying to be funny with a strange Swedish woman, and it’s my daughter. It’s so sick.”

Tatum told this to the magazine:
“That’s our relationship in a nutshell. You make of it what you will. It had been a few years since we’d seen each other, and he was always a ladies’ man, a bon vivant.”
I think I speak for everyone when I say “Ew”. They’ve always had a tough relationship and this just highlights that. It’s a very…odd story. I’d be interested to read more about this when Vanity Fair hits newsstands.

The casket of Farrah Fawcett
Farrah Fawcett’s funeral was held today at the the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels in L.A. Her longtime partner Ryan O’Neal was one of the pallbearers. Fawcett and O’Neal’s son, Remond, who is currently in jail on drug charges, was temporarily freed to attend the service. As well, friends Alana Stewart and Kate Jackson were among the many friends paying their last respects to the Charlie’s Angels star. Her casket was decorated with orange and yellow flowers.
Fans and media were located across the street during the funeral and hearse procession.
