Legendary movie company and once a major movie studio MGM (Metro Goldwyn Mayer), is sitting on the edge of 4 billion dollars debt and a potential sale of the company! The death of Hollywood begins…
We all know MGM… the Lion that growls before the movie starts… yeah, that company. This is very sad news for every movie lover in the world. MGM is the birth and blood of moving motion pictures.
The MGM studio lot was sold years ago to Sony Pictures (wish they kept the org MGM sign!), which still resides over in Culver City. I had the opportunity to work there a few times, one being on “The Curious Case of Benjamin Buttons” movie. MGM currently has an office building over in Century City. I’m not aware of any current standing “MGM” named studios, but the company does shoot at the Sony studios. Sony owns part of the MGM brand/name/company now, along with a few other odd companies like Texas Pacific Group, Comcast Corp., DLJ Merchant Banking Partners and Quadrangle Group.
This must mean that the new MGM owners can’t take care of their baby due to their own company failures! We’re calling child protection services!

I watch with horror as my weekly escape through the lives of “The Real Housewives of Orange County” tears at the seems. I am OK with Lynne Curtin getting evicted from her house for failure to pay rent (she owes $12,000). I would be a hypocrite if I weren’t. I was even considering sending her a gift certificate to Target or some cupcakes to wherever she planned to move as a housewarming gift.
There is something, however, that doesn’t feel right about the following from Perez Hilton:
Lynne apparently stole some large furniture items from the Arch Beach Heights house, including a bookcase, credenza, armoire and a glass shelf. The owner of the house also mentioned to police when they were called that Lynne and her family left the carpet trashed, holes in the walls, and the travertine tub was damaged.
I’ve been there. Who hasn’t left their previous apartment thrashed after a wild night of “I-am-moving-out-and-am-not-getting-my-deposit-back” partying? The thing is, I don’t watch “The Real Housewives of Orange County” to see reality. I watch it to see perfect bodies, perfect teeth, perfect homes and perfect cat fights. Needless to say, Lynne, I’m disappointed in you.

Jay Leno says he hopes to make stars out of young comedians featured on his new prime-time NBC series.
Leno told reporters Wednesday that the comics will contribute taped pieces for “The Jay Leno Show.” He said it’s a new way to spotlight young talent beyond traditional stand-up routines.

I am speechless right now. I actually was hoping he was not cheating on his wife because their TLC show is a huge hit. His 8 kids are going to be hurt by this. I dont really care about his crazy nagging wife…but I still feel bad for her a teensy bit. I guess their show will be called “Jon and Kate separate”.

Victoria Principal is renewing her career by pulling a gun on her housemaid. What’s with these housemaids to the stars? They must be really greedy and mean because these celebrities do NOTHING wrong….right?
According to court papers filed in L.A. County Superior Court on Monday, housekeeper Maribel Banegas accuses Principal the of pointing a gun and threatening to kill her after the actress — who played Pamela Ewing on the ’80s primetime soap — terminated her employment for taking too long to walk the dog.

Coco Sumner, the daughter of Sting and Trudie Styler was apparently at a restaurant in Los Angeles when she felt dizzy and fainted twice. The second time she fainted she landed awkwardly and cracked her skull. Daddy Sting flew in to LAX immediately to be at her side. Good thing he was already in the USA. Mom Trudie took the next flight out of the U.K and is now by her side. We hope she gets better! She’s a musician and we need her to carry on the Sting lineage!
