Sure Cowell has the money, and mostly thanks to our patronage of TV shows like American Idol and XFactor, however, is it not a bit, well, obscene to be this flashy in these times? I admit this is a bit of sour grapes as I try and figure out how to pay the gas bill this week, however, I am also thinking about other everyday folks also suffering with money problems and how this type of excess must make them feel.
Hey Cowell, go take a bath in champaign in the privacy of your own mansion, use 100 dollar bills to wipe your ass, I mean, light the fire place, buy your dog a condo, whatever, just stop rubbing in all of us little people’s faces…

Fischer in Blades of Glory
More engagement news here at The Count. While not as popular as Kevin Jonas, Jenna Fischer is a very funny, very attractive woman. Most people know her as the adorable Pam on The Office but she’s also been in a few successful films as well, including Blades of Glory and Walk Hard.
Canoodle Soup is reporting that Fischer is engaged to boyfriend, writer Lee Kirk. The couple has apparently been wearing engagement rings around Paris, France. If this rumor proves true, it would be Jenna’s second marriage. She was once married to super cool writer/director James Gunn. Kirk and Fischer have been dating for a couple years now.

Sorry ladies, one Jonas Brother is officially off the market! Kevin Jonas, 21, the eldest of The Jonas Brothers, is engaged to his girlfriend, Danielle Deleasa, 22.
“Our hearts are filled with joy today and we are happy to share with you that our son Kevin has asked Danielle for her hand in marriage,” said parents Denise and Kevin Sr. You know who’s not happy? Thousands and thousands of teenage girls who would give anything to take Danielle’s place. Sorry girls. Hey, at least there are two other brothers available.
Kevin told People magazine about the pressure building during last night’s performance “It was tough performing last night, knowing that I was going to ask the biggest question in my life to the most amazing girl in the world.” Aw, how sweet.
The couple has not yet set a date for their wedding but you can expect massive media coverage when they finally do tie the knot.

Poor Eddie Murphy. First his movie “Imagine That” fizzles at 6th place for the weekend box office making a slovenly $5 million and change though it cost $55 million to make.
Then this news comes along. The cherry on top, if you will. His ex-wife Nicole Murphy has become engaged to another man, Michael Strahan, on the beaches of the Bahamas. Eddie has a child with Scary Spice and is now currently single. Keep ya head up Mr. Murphy, there’s always “Daddy Camp 4″. Perhaps a prequel to “Pluto Nash” or a revival of The Klumps? How about the “PJ’s”?
Oh I got it! Turns out that your ex wife and her new beau have 9 kids between them. So you win Mr. Murphy! It’ll be like Beethoven Part 8 on their honeymoon.

These 2 crazy lovebirds, Drea de Matteo (Sopranos) and her rocker boyfriend Shooter Jennings, are engaged to be married. Us Weekly reports that Jennings proposed to Matteo during his show in Utica, New York. The couple already have a child, Alabama Gypsyrose, who was born in November of 2007. I’d like to go on record to say that this family has the coolest names of all time. Mega inventive and classic. I wish my parents had been a wee more creative but that’s what I get for being the daughter of a couple of french librarians. Congrats to the newly engaged couple!

Looks like the E! channel is going to have another HUGE hit on their hands. On Sunday night the channel that brought you “The Girls Next Door”, “E! True Hollywood Story”, and “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” will premiere “Kendra” a show about a lady with giant boobs and a horrible laugh who used to be a Playmate and one of three girlfriends to the 80+ year old dude that owns Playboy, but now she is engaged to a dude named Hank and is starting a new life for herself. Sorry for the run on sentence but it had to be said in one ridiculous virtual breath. Hught then Hank? Seems someone has a letter ‘H’ fetish.
If I were a 16 year old boy I’d watch “Kendra” every chance I could…on mute in the darkness of my room with the door locked.

To wrap up ThecounT.com’s unofficial star studded baby week, is the confirmation of Academy Award winner Jennifer Hudson’s pregnancy.
The former American Idol contestant Hudson’s friends threw a nice little baby shower for her in downtown Chicago this weekend.
Hudson’s friend Felicia Fields told reporters: “It was a baby shower, a quiet gathering of friends and mostly family¦ They’re really trying to keep it kind of quiet.”
Fields went on to tell reporters that the sex of the baby and the due date are unknown. Hudson is engaged to amateur wrestler,David Otunga. Well now that confirmation of this pregnancy has arrived, we can all move on to Angelina’s baby watch ‘09.

Paris Hilton and The Hills star Doug Reinhardt spent their time together at Cannes canoodling, partying and…planning their engagement?
According to the Daily Mail, Hilton and Reinhardt see marriage, family and children in the future. When asked about popping the question, Reinhardt said, “I am going to ask her to marry me but I can’t say when. I don’t want to ruin the surprise.”
