Christina Aguilera has opened up about the abuse she witnessed as a young child. According to a new documentary, Christina talks about her abusive father Fausto.
Christina says of her past: “I witnessed a lot of unpleasant things – a lot of pushing and shoving and fighting and quarrelling. Growing up I did not feel safe. Feeling powerless is the worst feeling in the world. I turned to singing as an outlet. The pain at home is where my love for music came from.”
Aguilera’s mother, Shelly, experienced much violence from her husband until she decided to take Christina and her sisters away from the situation. Aguilera hasn’t spoken publicly about the abuse or her father much. However, she admits that she attempted to reconcile their relationship later, with little results. “I let him back into my life briefly but I soon realised that he is not necessary in my life,” she says.
I salute Christina for speaking about such a painful time in her life and inspiring others to seek help. And with that, this article ends. I mean, I obviously can’t make light of such a serious situation. On to the next story I suppose!

Chris Brown, picking up trash
Singer Chris Brown started his 180 days of community service today, as punishment for him beating ex-girlfriend Rihanna.
Brown tweeted early Wednesday morning “On my way to community service,” which will be located in his hometown of Richmond, Virginia.
Later, pictures of Brown dressed in the traditional community service garb made their way to the net. Brown is wearing a red cap and picking up trash, not too concerned with the photos being taken of him.
Brown has been sentenced to five years probation, one year of domestic violence counseling as well as an order to stay away from Rihanna for five years.

The hit (rimshot please) singer’s remark:
“I commend Oprah on being like, ‘This is a problem,’ but it was a slap in my face. I did a lot of stuff for her, like going to Africa and performing for her school. She could have been more helpful, like, ‘Okay, I’m going to help both of these people out.’”
And the response from Oprah’s rep? “Oprah is very appreciative that Chris Brown performed at her school, but she takes domestic abuse very seriously. She hopes he gets the counseling he needs.”
This will probably be the end of their dispute. I mean, you can’t go up against Oprah. She’s Oprah, Chris Brown. Let it go.

Chris Brown meets Larry King
Here comes the post-interview damage control.
Clips from Chris Brown’s forthcoming Larry King interview showed the singer saying he “didn’t remember” beating his ex-girlfriend Rihanna. Well, if he doesn’t remember it’s almost like he didn’t do it, right?
His response caused quite a stir so Brown released this rather long statement to People:
“There have been reports on the Internet that I didn’t remember what happened that night with Rihanna. I want to try and set things straight.
“That 30 seconds of the interview they used of me was taken from a one hour interview during which that same question was asked something like four or five times – and when you look at the entire interview you will see it is not representative of what I said.
“The first four times – or however many times it was – I gave the same answer – which was that I didn’t think it was appropriate for me to talk about what happened that night. I said it was not right for me and it really wasn’t fair to Rihanna. The fifth time – or whatever it was – I just misspoke. I was asked, ‘Do you remember doing it?’ and I said, ‘No.’

The UNhappy couple
Apparently Chris Brown and Rihanna fought often, according to documents released yesterday. The court documents reveal that the couple had gotten into quite a few tussles before the infamous February 8 pre-Grammy faceoff.
In Europe three months before the Grammys, the pair really got into it in their hotel room. Rihanna ended up slapping Chris. Brown responded by shoving Rihanna into the wall. No charges or police reports were filed.
Three weeks before their big fight, the couple was in Barbados when things became heated in their rented Range Rover. Brown ended up exiting the car and breaking two of its windows. Again, no charges filed.
The documents also reveal more about the February 8 argument, including what exactly went down in that car. If anything, this just proves how dysfunctional Rihanna and Brown were. It’s for the best that they’re no longer together. And all it took was a judge for them to see that.

Not a flattering picture of Gary Coleman
These two just can’t seem to get along. Gary Coleman’s wife, Shannon Price, was arrested Wednesday in Utah on suspicion of domestic violence and disorderly conduct. Word is that she locked Gary out of their house, cursed at police officers, and thrashed the interior of their house.
Coleman’s been known to have a temper and his relationship with Price has been stormy to say the least. Divorce proceedings were started in April 2008, less than a year after they tied the knot. Obviously they’ve stayed together since then but it looks like this may be the end of their holy matrimony.

Chris Brown and Rihanna were both at the Lakers/Magic Finals game tonight and I imagine it was either extremely intense or completely planned out. They sat in the same row on opposite sides of the court. No word if they actually crossed paths but I’m sure inside sources will be speaking out at the top of the morning.
Rihanna has been making her way all over the world in the last 3 months, I wonder if flying is proving to be therapeutic for her.

Rihanna and Chris Brown at the 2009 Grammy pre party, moments later they started a fight club
After months of speculation it looks like Rihanna’s finally heading to court in June to sort through this whole domestic abuse madness.
Donald Etra, Rihanna’s lawyer, told reporters that prosecutors have told him the Barbados-born singer will receive a subpoena to testify at a preliminary hearing June 22. The hearing will focus on whether there is enough evidence to continue the case against Brown.
Etra said Rihanna will comply with the order. It would mark her first appearance in court since felony assault and criminal threats charges were filed against Brown in March.
Chris Brown has become a baby Ike Turner. I really wish he would just stay at home and shut his mouth for a while. Public appearances, media benders and Youtube videos are doing nothing for his image if anything he’s wrecking any possibility of a career resurrection. He has money, he should buy like $100 worth of Jack in the Box mini sirloin burgers and play Rockband for a few months in his rec room. Chill out Chris.

After much speculation as to how badly (if at all) Rihanna was beaten by Chris Brown, TMZ has released this Police Photograph of a severely beaten Rihanna. As ThecounT.com writer, Carrie McCray noted; “this was right after it happened and swelling and bruising will get worse in 24 hours.”
When I saw this picture I actually felt physically ill, now I’m just mad as hell. What kind of a man could beat a woman this severely? An Animal.

Surprisingly or not surprisingly many took a soft-line on Brown; “…she must of did sumthin 2 make him hit her…” said one of our readers, while another commented, “she [Rihanna] lied to the police. i know chris brown would not do anything like that.”
Now that this picture has been released, who in their right mind could justify this brutal beating? I’m sure it has sent a chill down the spine of even the biggest of Chris Brown supporters. God willing Rihanna will recover from her physical injuries and someday she may come to terms emotionally, however, I see no way that Chris Brown will ever recover, period. Furthermore, I predict “Attempted Murder” charges will be filed.
