FL Man Roger Vazquez ID’d As Spring Hill Man Arrested Sunday In Murder Of Nephew Ray Correa

SPRING HILL, FL. (THECOUNT) — Spring Hill, Florida man, Roger Vazquez, has been identified as the suspect arrested in the murder of his own nephew, Raymond Correa.

Vazquez, 55, is accused of killing his family member, Correa, 44, who reportedly arrived to a Florida business to try to “calm him down.”

When Correa arrived, he and another person convinced his uncle to unload the gun. Deputies say Vazquez pulled out another gun and shot Correa dead. The Other person involved was uninjured in the shooting.

The Hernando County Sheriff’s Office said Sunday in a news release that 55-year-old Roger Vazquez began acting erratically and waving a gun around while working at Lucky Fish Games in Spring Hill, Florida Saturday evening. Continue reading

CT Police Seek Son After Parent’s Large Marlborough Home Goes Up In Flames

MARLBOROUGH, CT. (THECOUNT) — Connecticut State police said they’re looking for Reid Keener, after his parent’s Marlborough went up in smoke overnight.

Keener, 27, has been named as a person of interest after Marlborough firefighters extenguished a blaze at a large home, located at, 242 W Rd Marlborough.

The fire broke out around 2:30 a.m. Monday on West Road, which according to troopers is Keener’s parents’ home. They said the fire was quickly knocked down.

State police sent a message to residents in the area.

“Troop K is looking for Reid Keener, 6’2 180 lbs white male, last seen wearing a cooper-colored shirt, grey board shorts and flip flops.” the message said. “He is wanted in regards to a warrant out of Troop K and is a person of interest in a fire set at his parents house on West Road in Marlborough. Use caution, Keener has a history of mental illness, but it not known to possess weapons.” Continue reading

Pilot Richard Vance Named As Sole Survivor In NYC Helicopter Crash That Killed 5

Richard Vance has been named as the pilot who escaped a fatal helicopter crash in New York City’s East River Sunday.

Vance, 33, of Wallingford, Connecticut, was operating the doomed red helicopter when the crash occurred. According to sources, the aircraft flipped upside down in the water. All five passengers were pronounced dead.

Hartford CT Plane Crash NO ACCIDENT Says Surviving Passenger

A small plane crash in Connecticut that killed Jordanian national, Feras Freitekh, and injured another man in was “an intentional act,” the NTSB announced in a statement Wednesday. The FBI will now take the lead in the investigation.

A man who survived the crash, which occurred Tuesday afternoon, told investigators the wreck was not an accident. That man was in critical condition at a local Hospital, but was able to speak to detectives.

The Hartford Courant reported a student pilot and his instructor were arguing before the crash, with the student saying he no longer wanted to fly the plane. An initial search of the apartment where the student was staying found no signs of terrorism, the newspaper added. Continue reading

Several Hospitalized After Ohio Restaurant Machete Attack

A man wielding a machete has been shot and killed by police after they say he went into a Mediterranean restaurant and began slicing several patrons.

The suspect then reportedly fled the Nazareth Restaurant, but was located by police about 5 miles away, a standoff ensued at which time the man was killed.
