November 12,2009 Zahi Hawass calls Beyonce stupid during a self guided tour.
According to associated press Hawass stated “she is a stupid person and she doesnt understand a thing, and doesn’t want to.”
Of course no one understood his insults.
“she is coming here to take pictures and thats it” associated press quoted Hawass.
Hawass is known for his outburst, during important events invovling press.
Okay, I promise that this will be my last story regarding Kanye West. In case you didn’t hear, the man had a heart-to-heart with Jay Leno last night regarding his outburst at the VMAs on Sunday night. I think Kanye was sincere in his Leno appearance and, with a little break, can put this behind him.
But, before we put this story to rest, let’s see what President Obama has to say about it. In an off the record portion of an interview with CNBC (where he was talking about important issues like, oh, I don’t know, health care reform!) Obama said that Kanye acted like a “jackass”.
The remarks were caught by ABC newsman Terry Moran. His tweet was as followed: “Pres. Obama just called Kanye West a ‘jackass’ for his outburst at VMAs when Taylor Swift won. Now THAT’S presidential.” Since the comments were off the record and not for public viewing, Moran later took the tweet down. But it was too late. Now everyone knows Obama’s opinion.
Russell Brand, like the rest of the world, is putting in his two cents regarding Kanye West’s outburst at last night’s VMAs. Talking to Ryan Seacrest this morning, Brand had a simple message for Kanye.
“You can’t make a pretty girl cry,” the comedian said. Apparently, rumor has it that Taylor Swift was a bit teary-eyed backstage after Kanye’s moment. However, Brand said that Kanye, like most normal people, made a mistake and should probably be forgiven.
“We’re just people; we all do things that are a bit silly sometimes. Calm down; no one died.”
Come on Russell, you need to draw a line in the sand! Are you Team Taylor or not? There is a war coming and you better know whose side you’re on! Me, I’m going Team Beyonce. She looked super classy last night.
The rapper really classed it up tonight at the MTV Video Music Awards when he took the stage to interrupt Best Female Video winner Taylor Swift. Swift, who was in the middle of her speech, watched from the side as West made his own announced speech.
“Yo Taylor, I’m really happy for you, I’m [going to] let you finish — but Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time,” Kanye said, pointing to a shocked Beyonce in the audience. The crowd turned on West and started booing. The rapper disappeared off stage, Swift looked ready to continue with her speech but the station cut to commercials.
Beyonce later invited Swift onstage to complete her speech. Classy move on Beyonce’s part. As for West, word is that he was kicked out from the rest of the show because of his outburst, earning a rare ejection from MTV. He later took to his own website to write his side of the event. He wrote in cap locks, of course.
There is a first time for everything, and it was my first time attending a drag queen extravaganza! The drag-tastic “Divas” show at the Imperial Palace on the Las Vegas Strip was mucho entertaining to say the least.
Hott!
Staring Joan Rivers’ brother from another mother, Frank Marino, who has been entertaining Las Vegas audiences for over twenty years, his cast of female impersonators not only do a great job impersonating women, they do an unbelievable job impersonating some of the world’s most famous female entertainers in action!
Lady Gaga, Britney, Liza, Beyonce, Diana Ross just to name a few! All dressed to kill and accompanied by some serious choreography, the show’s tempo was fast paced and ultra fun.
How did I end up at “Divas” you may ask? My brother called me up to ‘drag’ me along, he is working with Frank on a reality show that will be sure to knock the pants off America as the show details the ups and down of being a drag queen in sin city.
“If I were a Boy” singer Beyonce, has signed on to star in “Tripping The Velvet.” British TV audiences have already been treated to a TV adaptation of the lesbian themed movie.
IMDB.com the website that tracks movie productions lists the film as “In Development” and “Very high profile” stating “Internet Movie Database only lists films that have been completed and released, or are in active production. We make a few exceptions for very high-profile projects in development at major studios.”
Below is a video of scenes from the British version. Take a peek and dream on.
Only the second July on record that the No. 1 album dipped below 100,000 copies sold.
Not one album on the top Billboard 200 sold more than 100,000 copies, a dreary feat not seen since SoundScan started tracking album sales in 1991.
For the music industry the forecast for next week looks no better in an already sad state of affairs with only mediocre releases slated for that period.
A lot of folks would not be surprised by dwindling data registered by album sales, these people most likely would be teenagers and young adults who live in an era of free and/ or shared internet music, and if they were to actually buy music it would be a single song of their liking.
Mariah Carey’s new album will feature major advertisers in the booklet as well as marketers hawking Carey’s perfume along side the album in outlets such as Wal-Mart.
Where the music industry goes from here is anyone’s guess. Historically foot draggers when it comes to new technology, the simple fact may be it’s time to sell soap and not music at all.
Katy Perry was deep sea thinking late night on Twitter. She was praising Beyonce, Gwen Stefani and Madonna for all of the magic in music they’ve created throughout the years. Katy was expressing how she aspires to be a big diva for years to come just like her heroes. She ponders if her fans will stick with her, or move on to the ‘next’ Katy Perry. She’s already worried about her shelf life as a pop star and obviously not enjoying her current fame! Hello Katy!!! You’ve been all over the radio and TV for the last year. Isn’t that good enough? Study your heroes…that is where your answer lies dear grasshopper. Here’s her tweety thoughts…(I put together this compilation of tweets in a row that she wrote)
