This week, Ben Stiller went to Mexico City to promote his new movie Night at the Museum 2: Battle of the Smithsonian. After palm pressing with reporters at the movie’s premiere, Ben was then seen ‘applying hand sanitizer’ directly after. ‘Some’ Mexicans have been reported to be ‘offended.’ Offended because he sanitized his hands?…
Ben responded to the rumor at a news conference, that it was all just a “misunderstanding.” (That he in no way meant to imply that Mexicans are a dirty people who sweat swine flu)
Not to side with Ben or anything, but I use hand sanitizer no matter who or what you are! It prevents the spread of germs and reduces colds. Get into it people.

Tune in to MTV this Sunday, and watch Ben Stiller receive the “prestigious” Generation Award at the 2009 MTV Movie Awards. In an interview with MTV, Ben waxes poetic about his up and coming trophy, “I am honored. I was given my first show at MTV, and also

JJ Jackson, so it brings back pleasant memories.”
While I may not always love every Ben Stiller moment, I can recognize that any man who could pull off the role of “Simple Jack” in 2008’s “Tropic Thunder” should probably win an award every year for the remainder of his life. So thank you Mr. Stiller, you muh muh muh make me happy.

Robin Williams
The funny and amazing Robin Williams was a guest on the David Letterman show last night, and talked about his recent surgery to replace several defective heart valves. They really had a heart to heart when Letterman opened up and talked about his quadruple bypass surgery. Robin named David and himself, “brotherhood of the zippered chest.”
Robin explains his surgery, “I have one new valve and a repaired valve,” Williams said. “I have a cow valve — which is great, and the grazing has been fun.”
“The mechanical valve is great, but if someone uses the remote control, you fart.”
In a serious moment, Robin stated, “You do get a second lease on life, and it’s a gift.”

Poor Ron Silver…
He has passed away at the age of 62 from esophageal cancer. He was pretty young. RIP Ron- our condolences to your family during this sad time.
Ron Silver was an actor in a few great GREAT shows like West Wing and Chicago Hope. His best show of all time might just be Heat Vision Jack. HAH.
I do know of the writer of Heat Vision Jack, Dan Harmon (Directed by Ben Stiller). One time I saw him at a party and another time I saw him at Dreamworks in the cafeteria pasta aisle where I made fun of his gut. While introducing the Best Cinematography Award (won by Slumdog Millionare), Ben Stiller played a disheveled Joaquin Phoenix. While Natalie Portman rambled off the nominees, Ben roamed around the stage. Very funny. My mom just asked me if Joaquin fried his brain?? She also said “That young man looks like he flipped his lid”.
My mom has the best sayings in the world. I personally think since he didn’t win for Johnny Cash and that might have been the best he’s ever going to get- he lost his marbles. It’s ok though Joaquin, we think you can do another hit if you try!!
