Mahmood Almuwali has been named as the Tucson, Arizona security guard involved in a shooting at the Department of Economic Safety Thursday afternoon.
Almuwali, 30, was arrested Friday for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and discharging a firearm within the city limits after he opened fire on a DES client he had just escorted out of the building.
Tucson Police say, Almuwali, (or Al Muwali,) escorted a man out of the building located near N Alvernon & E 2nd St, Phoenix, after the man “raised his voice” to a staff member. Continue reading
Milwaukee police say they have arrested the parents of 9-year-old Miyanna Jelks, the girl fatally shot by her younger brother while at a home on the city’s north side Saturday.
Investigators say Jelks and her younger brother were playing with the firearm when it accidentally discharged, striking and killing the girl.
Jelks was then rushed to the hospital where she died as a result of her injuries.
Police say the younger brother has been taken to the Milwaukee County Children’s Court Center. Jelk’s parents, a 29-year-old Milwaukee woman and a 32-year-old Milwaukee man, were arrested on multiple charges. Continue reading
Northville, Detroit doctor, Dr. Jumana Nagarwala, was charged on Thursday with performing secret (and illegal,) female genital mutilation on little girls as young a 6 years old. Muslims from across the world have the disgusting procedure performed on their daughters to reduce sexual pleasure and promiscuity.
According to documents filed in federal court, Dr. Jumana Nagarwala performed the procedure on young girls between the ages of 6 and 8 years old. A doctor in Minnesota enlisted to help investigate the crime performed an examination on the girl pursuant to a search warrant. The doctor said the girl’s genitals were not normal and observed scar tissue and healing lacerations.
The federal document claims that children from other states were brought to Dr. Nagarwala to undergo the operations. Two victims from Minnesota stayed at a hotel in Farmington Hills in February. One of the girls is 11 years old and told authorities that they came to the Detroit area for a ‘special’ girls trip, and when they arrived at the hotel she and the other young girl had to go to the doctor because ‘their tummies hurt’. Tavis Sellers, the Va., father who boxed his son after the boy cut class, has turned himself in to Prince William County Police early Friday morning after a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Sellers, aka, TaDigs Ditches, posted a brutal video to Facebook showing him disciplining his 17-year-old son by boxing the young man until he was covered with his own blood.

Mary A. Hastings, the Texas high school math teacher caught on video striking one of her students in the head repeatedly, is now facing assault charges.
The cellphone video, recorded by a classmate, shows Hastings, 63, beating the student about the head, neck and shoulders while he sat at his desk.
Hastings is a geometry teacher at Ozen High School. After being arrested she was placed on paid leave. Continue reading
Joshua M. Palmer has been arrested on suspicion of murder in connection to the murder of a San Diego woman, Shauna Haynes, 21, whose body was found crammed in a suitcase.
Palmer, 33, was arrested while he was at McGregor’s Grill & Ale House in Mission Valley after being interviewed by San Diego police homicide detectives. He was booked Friday afternoon on one count of murder in the San Diego County Jail.

Robert Durst, the billionaire suspect in three deaths since 1982, has been arrested in New Orleans.
Durst, the subject of the HBO series “The Jinx: The Life and Deaths of Robert Durst,” has been arrested and now faces a renewed investigation into the 2000 death of his former friend Susan Berman.
Durst, 71, was being held on an extradition warrant out of Los Angeles, according to the Orleans Parish Sheriff’s Office. He was arrested Saturday, a day before the final episode of the HBO series airs. Continue reading
Former Pearl Jam drummer, Dave Abbruzzese, is wanted by police in Denton, Texas police over two drug charges. A warrant has been issues for his arrest, the first being issued in September.
Official documents show there’s a $1,000 reward for any information leading to his apprehension.

Dustin Diamond, best known for playing Screech on “Saved by the Bell”, was arrested Friday in Ozaukee County, WI.
Diamond was taken into custody December 26th and charged with possession of a switchblade, first degree recklessly endangering safety and carrying a concealed weapon.
