The coroner just made Philip Seymour Hoffman’s cause of death official and it
was a killer combination of heroin, cocaine, and several other drugs.
The medical examiner listed the cause of death as “acute mixed drug intoxication.”
The drugs in the actor’s system at the time of his death were heroin, cocaine, benzodiazepines (anti-anxiety) and amphetamines (uppers like Adderall).
Speedballing is a deadly mixture of heroin and cocaine, the same concoction that killed Chris Farley, River Phoenix, and John Belushi.
Philip Seymour Hoffman had a dying wish.. “Keep my kids FAR away from Hollywood,” this according to a newly discovered will penned by the late actor.

NYPD has taken in for questioning four people who are believed to be connected to the drugs found in late actor Philip Seymour Hoffman’s apartment, a New York law enforcement official told CNN Tuesday night.
The NYPD’s “intensive citywide search” to find the drug dealer or dealers who sold heroin to Philip Seymour Hoffman, has intensified after authorities say the fallen actor had 49 glassine envelopes full of heroin at the ready.
Hoffman, who died Sunday of an overdose with the needle still in his arm, was shooting the deadly “Ace of Spades” brand of the sweet stuff, a deadly blend that has not been seen on the streets of Brooklyn since 2008.
The posh West Village apartment also contained numerous bottles of prescription medications.
An unnamed law enforcement source told the Post that the department’s newly appointed narcotics lead, Timothy Bugge, sent an internal email asking supervising officers if they had any specific knowledge or had dealt with the “Ace of Spades” branded heroin discovered in Hoffman’s flat.
Cops are turning their death investigation of actor Philip Seymour Hoffman to surveillance video captured at a bank ATM where two men are believed to have sold drugs to Hoffman the night before his death.
Philip Seymour Hoffman overdosed on Ace Of Spades, a brand of heroin that has thankfully been absent from NYC streets since 2008, say cops. The death scene reflected Hoffman using heroin recently, including a needle still stuck in the actor’s arm..
THE POST: Cops found five empty glassine envelopes in a garbage can, two more under the bed and one on a table in the apartment, where Hoffman — who has repeatedly struggled with substance abuse — was living recently, sources said. Cops also found a charred spoon in the kitchen sink, sources say.
