I Am Vampire by ThecounT – Urban Twilight for City Dwellers

Sure Twilight was a great movie but I got to thinking (watch out world!) that maybe it was time for a vampire in America with a little more true grit. That’s why I produced “I Am Vampire.” Would Robert Pattinson or his alter ego Edward Cullen make it in the big apple? Maybe someday we’ll see “Edward Moves to the City” until then, check out “I Am Vampire.”

shot entirely on location in New York and Las Vegas Nevada and utilizing a “run and gun” style of film making made this vampire real and accessible. I filmed, edited and directed the video and wrote and produced the music, in other words, I did everything you will see and hear.

Enjoy “I Am Vampire” an urban Twilight for the rest of us city dwellers.

    VMAs Draw Nine Million Viewers

wenn5352259 oPt VMAs Draw Nine Million Viewers

8.97 million people tuned in for Sunday’s Video Music Awards, giving MTV its biggest audience since 2004. The show, which featured Kanye West doing…well, you all know, became the biggest cable show this year for the coveted 12-34 demographic.  In total, the broadcast was up six percent.

So what did MTV do right?  Since no one knew about the Kanye Kraziness before the show, surely there was something that drew in the crowds.  Maybe it was the Michael Jackson tribute, maybe it was the New Moon trailer, maybe it was the return to Radio City Music Hall.  Whatever the reason, MTV has a hit on its hands.

So maybe the VMAs will stay in New York for a few years.  Or maybe Russell Brand will be invited back again.  Or maybe, just maybe, MTV will serve Kanye West more alcohol next year, hoping for lightning to strike twice.

President Obama: Kanye is a “Jackass”

Kanye West grabs the mic 001 President Obama: Kanye is a Jackass

Okay, I promise that this will be my last story regarding Kanye West.  In case you didn’t hear, the man had a heart-to-heart with Jay Leno last night regarding his outburst at the VMAs on Sunday night.  I think Kanye was sincere in his Leno appearance and, with a little break, can put this behind him.

But, before we put this story to rest, let’s see what President Obama has to say about it.  In an off the record portion of an interview with CNBC (where he was talking about important issues like, oh, I don’t know, health care reform!) Obama said that Kanye acted like a “jackass”.

The remarks were caught by ABC newsman Terry Moran.  His tweet was as followed:  “Pres. Obama just called Kanye West a ‘jackass’ for his outburst at VMAs when Taylor Swift won. Now THAT’S presidential.” Since the comments were off the record and not for public viewing, Moran later took the tweet down.  But it was too late.  Now everyone knows Obama’s opinion.

Russell Brand on Kanye: “Calm down; no one died.”

    Russell Brand

    Russell Brand

Russell Brand, like the rest of the world, is putting in his two cents regarding Kanye West’s outburst at last night’s VMAs.  Talking to Ryan Seacrest this morning, Brand had a simple message for Kanye.

“You can’t make a pretty girl cry,” the comedian said.  Apparently, rumor has it that Taylor Swift was a bit teary-eyed backstage after Kanye’s moment.  However, Brand said that Kanye, like most normal people, made a mistake and should probably be forgiven.

“We’re just people; we all do things that are a bit silly sometimes.  Calm down; no one died.”

Come on Russell, you need to draw a line in the sand!  Are you Team Taylor or not?  There is a war coming and you better know whose side you’re on!  Me, I’m going Team Beyonce.  She looked super classy last night.

    Let the battle begin!

Kanye West Drunk When Stormed Stage at MTV Video Awards

Buffoon Kanye West is surely waking up this morning to much controversy after storming the stage in the middle of Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech last night at the VMAs and West is also surely waking up with one hell of a headache.

As this video shows, West was openly chugging cognac before, during and after his tirade at this years MTV Video Awards held in NYC.

I hope this teaches America and the world about what kind of person Kayne West really is, and if not, I won’t be surprised.

Kanye West’s (Newest) VMA Flip Out

3928003 Kanye Wests (Newest) VMA Flip Out

Oh, Kanye West, you make my job so easy.

The rapper really classed it up tonight at the MTV Video Music Awards when he took the stage to interrupt Best Female Video winner Taylor Swift.  Swift, who was in the middle of her speech, watched from the side as West made his own announced speech.

“Yo Taylor, I’m really happy for you, I’m [going to] let you finish — but Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time,” Kanye said, pointing to a shocked Beyonce in the audience.  The crowd turned on West and started booing.  The rapper disappeared off stage, Swift looked ready to continue with her speech but the station cut to commercials.

Beyonce later invited Swift onstage to complete her speech.  Classy move on Beyonce’s part.  As for West, word is that he was kicked out from the rest of the show because of his outburst, earning a rare ejection from MTV. He later took to his own website to write his side of the event.  He wrote in cap locks, of course.

Audrey O’Day Clears Up Hitler/Castro Comments

    Audrey ODay

    Audrey O'Day

Apparently people get a little upset when you call Fidel Castro and Adolf Hitler “brilliant”.  Who knew?

Former Danity Kane singer Audrey O’Day appeared on Sean Hannity’s show this weekend and did just that.  In her words: “I’m not defending [Castro's] behavior in many instances, but I do have to say that I will 100 percent agree he’s an incredibly brilliant man.”

How could she make it worse?  Oh, saying the same thing about Hitler might do it.  Listen, I don’t condone Hitler one ounce, but yes, he was a brilliant man. Can you guys say that he wasn’t? He ran a country and convinced everyone of horrible things.” Smooth movie, O’Day.

Luckily O’Day publicists were quick and had her release this statement to MTV News:

Murderers and dictators generally are some of the smartest people out there — they just use their brain power for evil purposes,” O’Day said. ”I don’t condone any of their evil behavior, but I was asked about their intellectual firepower … and in my opinion you can’t have a low IQ and wreak that much havoc on the world. What Hitler succeeded in doing was deplorable. And I hope we never see such an abusive use of power again.

Paris: MJ Named His Daughter After Me

    Ms. Hilton

    Ms. Hilton

I find this very hard to believe but let’s take Paris Hilton at her word, shall we?  The hotel heiress/sometimes actress claims the late Michael Jackson named his daughter Paris after…well, her.  Hmm.  Here’s Ms. Hilton’s explanation, via Extra:

“My mom and Michael went to high school together and they were best friends since they were 13,” Paris explains. “So I grew up knowing Michael very well and when he had his daughter, he always loved the name Paris and grew up being an uncle to me. So he asked my mom if it was okay and of course she said yes and I think she’s such a beautiful little girl and I’m proud we have the same name.”

Really?  I just find this hard to believe.  Sure, Michael Jackson might have been fond of the Hiltons but maybe — just maybe! – he named his daughter after one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

Paris was promoting her new MTV documentary Paris, Not France, which debuts July 28.
