All this time I was wondering what I would buy my brother for his birthday. He was born on November 17 and always expects a great present. Well, the gods are working in my favor because Amazon is now reporting Kris Allen’s still-untitled album will drop on November 17. Hooray, birthday present predicament solved! Does my brother like Kris Allen? Not at all, because the sheer convenience of this release date is just perfect for me.
I know, I know, I’m a horrible brother.
For any real fans of Allen, this is good news. He’ll be releasing his album during a busy music season but we’ll finally be able to see if he can really deliver a hit record. Your thoughts/predictions?

The American Idol boys sound like they are making the absolute most out of their tour. Winner Kris Allen and runner-up Adam Lambert not only share the stage, they also share music and lyrics.
Kris Allen is trying to juggle a busy tour, and a completion of his first album before this Fall season. Kris admits it’s kind of hard making his very first album, but not to worry, his seasoned AI tour partner Adam Lambert has come to the rescue and is helping Kris!
“Adam will get a song, and he’ll be like, ‘Listen to this,’ and I’ll tell him what I think about it, whether I like it or not. And we were actually doing that last night. … He was listening to some things of mine,” Allen told MTV News. “He had some good things to say, some critiques to say as well. We do that to each other. … We’re just trying to help each other out.”
Time is a virtue for Allen…writing an album on tour is hard. Especially when it’s your ‘first’ album ever…

Incase you missed ABC network show “Good Morning America” on Friday as I did (sorry Kris!), here are American Idol stars Adam Lambert, Kris Allen and David Cook together! They each sang an individual song, and then teamed up to sing Fleetwood Mac’s “Little Lies”. Kris sang Kanye West’s “Heartless”. Adam sang Muse’s “Starlight”. What? Yes. Adam Lambert had a crush on winner Kris Allen during American Idol. This is great! Love it!
In the new Rolling Stone with Adam Lambert gracing the cover, he described his reaction to the news that he would be rooming [sharing a room in the American Idol house] with Allen: “I was like, ‘Oh, s–t, they put me with the cute guy.’ Distracting!” Lambert said. “He’s the one guy that I found attractive in the whole group on the show: nice, nonchalant, pretty and totally my type ” except that he has a wife. I mean, he’s open-minded and liberal, but he’s definitely 100 percent straight.”

Then 9 days later, American Idol runner up Adam Lambert officially outed himself as a gay man. Gasp. Well I, for one, never saw this coming. After months of speculation Adam Lambert decided to officially out himself as a gay male to Rolling Stone magazine. “I don’t think it should be a surprise for anyone to hear that I’m gay,” Lambert tells the magazine. “I’ve been living in Los Angeles for eight years as a gay man.”

Kris Allen at NBA finals
Entertainment Tonight is reporting that American Idol Kris Allen, wearing a black t-shirt and denim jeans, belted out the national anthem to cheers and applause. The crowd included stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Jack Nicholson, Zac Efron, Mark Wahlberg, Diddy, and Adam Levine.
I personally had the “pleasure” of watching your American Idol sing our country’s most pride filled anthem. “O’er the laaaannnnddddd offf tthhheee frraaaaaayyyyy…” Fray? Not free. Allen sang right before his voice cracked on the final note. Somewhere in a beautiful WeHo loft Adam Lambert is going through his piles of possible recording contracts and stacks of hit songs he has to choose from and cackling his ass off because Lambert would’ve brought the roof down in the Staples Center with his rendition. Oh America, first George W. Bush then Kris Allen. When will we learn?

Kris Allen’s American Idol victory is being called into question by The New York Times, which is, apparently, Adam Lambert’s biggest fan. The newspaper has cooked up a conspiracy theory involving free text message parties in Arkansas (Allen’s hometown) thrown by AT&T employees. These parties included “power texts”, which allowed voters to send ten messages, and thus ten votes, with a single button push. Although Fox refused to comment on the situation, AT&T had this to say: “In Arkansas, we were invited to attend the local watch parties organized by the community. A few local employees brought a small number of demo phones with them and provided texting tutorials to those who were interested.”
