It’s celebrity crime week apparently. First we’ve got Roman Polanski getting arrested after years of evading arrest and now this. If only Spencer Pratt would get locked up for public indecency.
Roger Avary, co-writer of Pulp Fiction and the film adaptations of Beowulf and The Rules of Attraction, has been sentenced for a deadly 2008 DUI crash. The Oscar winner was sentenced to a year in jail followed by five years probation.
Avary was arrested in 2008 after crashing his car while driving 100 miles an hour. His wife was ejected from the car but not seriously hurt. Sadly, a passenger in another car was killed in the accident. Avary pleaded guilty to gross vehicular manslaughter.

That was quick, Fred Durst.
The Limp Bizkit frontman has tweeted to his masses that his union with wife Esther Nazarov has come to an end.
“For those of you inquiring I will confirm that Esther and I have decided to go our separate ways and we both thank you for your support,” Durst tweeted this weekend. He and his wife had been married for only three months.
Durst later updated his feed with “Thank you all SO much for your concern and extremely kind words. Sincerely. We remain very positive and wish only the best for each other.”
Dang, three months? I know that celebrities aren’t known for their long lasting marriages but THREE MONTHS?!

Way to go, Dustin Diamond. Release a snippet of your “tell-all” book the same week that Mackenzie Phillips rocks the world with hers. Smoooooooooth move Screech.
That’s right, Dustin Diamond has shed some light on his new book, titled Behind the Bell. We’ve learned that some Saved by the Bell cast members smoked marijuana, slept together and maybe did steroids. Is this a surprise? I mean, take a look at Mark Paul Gosselaar – that dude is ripped. Besides, they were all kids holed up together for long hours at a time, these things are expected.
I kind of feel bad for Screech Dustin Diamond. No one from the original cast likes him anymore, he doesn’t seem to get a lot of work and he filed for bankruptcy a few years back. Sure, he’s scrapping the bottom of the barrel with this book but what do you expect?
Surprisingly, no big secrets revealed about Kevin The Robot. I still suspect that he was a drug addict.

Criminal mastermind!
Holy cow, what the hell is going on with Randy Quaid and his wife?! Yesterday, the actor and his lady, Evi, were arrested in Texas after being charged with not paying a $10,000 hotel bill. Apparently, authorities in California say the two skipped on paying the hotel and then left town. I guess. I don’t know. This is some pretty hardcore cross-country fugitive stuff here. Where are the cast members of Law and Order when you need them?
The couple are being held in Marfa, Texas with bail set at $20,000 each. Authorities aren’t saying much else about the case. The official warrant was for charges of burglary, defrauding an innkeeper and conspiracy.
Quaid’s reps aren’t saying anything. Yet.
UPDATE: Quaid and his wife were released on bail after a quick drive to the bank by a friendly, local sheriff.

Well, it’s only been 50 years!
Barbie, the blond bombshell who has graced toy shelves for decades, is finally becoming a movie star. Universal Pictures has grabbed the film rights to Barbie and plan on creating a motion picture about her, with Julie & Julia’s Laurence Mark producing.
I wonder what a Barbie film will be like. Will it be modern Barbie or classic Barbie? Will she be impossibly skinny and fit or realistic? And, most importantly, what will her job be? Flight attendant, nurse? The options are endless.

This would be an interesting Hollywood couple.
Bettyconfidential.com is reporting that Heroes star Hayden Panettiere and Entourage lead Kevin Connolly are dating. Possibly. The couple apparently spent the night together at the post-Emmys Entourage party. According to sources, they definitely seemed like they were dating.
Says the source:
“Hayden spent her entire evening at the Entourage table talking to Kevin. They were there to hang out together and stayed for hours until well after midnight. Kevin only left Hayden’s side towards the end of the night when he wanted to chat with someone at another table.”
We all know that Hayden is into dating older men and Kevin is a good 15 years her senior. This could be a big old fat rumor but it could end up being true. However, I must say, they both look kind of similar. I’m not saying they could play siblings but…well, maybe. I don’t know. That’s a little weird, right?

Well this is an interesting story…
I’m sure you caught some of this yesterday but it bares repeating. One Day at a Time star Mackenzie Phillips has admitted in a new book that she had a sexual relationship with her father, John Phillips of The Mamas and The Papas. It started when Mackenzie was 19 and engaged to be married. As she put it:
“On the eve of my wedding, my father showed up, determined to stop it. I had tons of pills, and Dad had tons of everything too. Eventually I passed out on Dad’s bed. My father was not a man with boundaries. He was full of love, and he was sick with drugs. I woke up that night from a blackout to find myself having sex with my own father.”
Things continued to sprawl out of control for Phillips, who was fired from her show in 1980. She became addicted to drugs and her life fell apart. She admits that while touring with her father and the New Mamas and the Papas, her sex with John became consensual.
Mackenzie will appear on Oprah to tell her side of the story today. It’s sure to make some headlines so stay tuned.

Okay, Lamar Odom, we’ve got to talk. I’ve been a big defender of you over the last year or so. At the beginning of last season, when some people were saying you should be traded, I said “No, Lamar will come through.” And, sure enough, you really moved the ball around and helped the Lakers win the championship. See, I’m a fan.
So it’s with some sadness I report that Lamar Odom and reality star Khloe Kardashian are set to wed — and soon, too! Sources say the couple plan on marrying this coming Sunday. In fact, the union is being thrown together so quickly that most guests (including several of your Los Angeles Lakers) are being notified by telephone calls instead of formal invitations.
The couple have been only dating for a little more than a month but apparently they are madly in love and ready to take the leap. Says Khloe’s sister, Kim: “Khloe thinks he’s amazing and makes her laugh and smile constantly.”
Emmy winner Kristin Chenoweth had a tough time during a wonderful night Sunday. Her publicist says that Kristin, who won Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for Pushing Daisies, suffered a rather serious migraine after her win. According to her publicist, Chenoweth started feeling symptoms after her win and during media interviews.
The actress later laid down to try and subdue her pain. She was then checked out by paramedics backstage and began to feel better, hoping to join in on the post-Emmy festitivies.
I’m happy for Kristin. She’s a great actress who seems to be finally getting her due praise, even if it’s for a show that’s been, you know, canceled. And, like every good performer, Chenoweth is able to overcome difficulties and deliver. If I were her, I’d probably be bawling backstage and pleading for drugs from the paramedics. But that’s just me.
