LUTCHER, LA. (THECOUNT) — Thaddeus Watis and Dedrick Paul Green, Jr., has been identified as the victims in a quadruple-shooting in Lutcher Monday night.

In all, four victims were injured in a Christmas Eve shooting around 11:29 p.m., in St. James Parish near Lutcher High School.

Watis, 20, and Green, 23, were named as the fatalities. Watis died at the scene of gunshot injuries while Green was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of gunshot injuries.

The injured individuals, a 15-year-old juvenile boy and a 25-year-old woman, were also transported to the hospital with gunshot wounds and are currently in guarded condition, according to officials.

On Dec. 24 at approximately 11:29pm, deputies from the St. James Parish Sheriff’s Office, and officers from the Lutcher and Gramercy Police Departments responded to a call regarding a shooting that took place near 2176 Main St. in Lutcher. Upon arrival, deputies and officers discovered four individuals had been shot.source

At this time, a motive for the shooting has not been determined. The sheriff’s office and police departments are actively investigating this case.
