ASHBURN, VA. (THECOUNT) — NFL player, Montae Nicholson and a female accomplice have been charged with assault and battery following a dispute in Ashburn, VA, early Tuesday morning, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office.

The Redskins safety and a 24-year-old female, later identified as Sydney A. Maggiore, of Vienna, were both arrested in an incident that happened in the predawn hours of Tuesday morning in the the 20400 block of Exchange Street, in Ashburn, VA.

According to a police report, deputies responded to Exchange Street on reports of a fight. Upon arrival, investigators learned an altercation had occurred where two victims were assaulted by a man and a woman who had fled the scene.

The victims were said to be suffering from serious but survivable injuries at the time they were interviewed by officials.

One of the bloodied victims claimed Nicholson and Maggiore pulled up in a vehicle and began honking the horn at them. A verbal altercation was followed by a physical altercation.

The aggressors were found to be Nicholson and Maggiore.

At some point, Nicholson and Maggiore returned to the scene and were taken into custody.

Investigators say Nicholson assaulted the male victim, and that Maggiore hit the female victim with a bottle before also assaulting the male victim. source

Nicholson was charged with assault and battery and being drunk in public. Nicholson was held at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center on a $2,500 secured bond.

Maggiore was charged with malicious wounding and assault and battery. She remains held at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center on no bond.

Both victims were taken to a local hospital for treatment of serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
