HIGH POINT, NC. (THECOUNT) — Marvin O. Dunlap has been identified as the victim found suffering from gunshot wounds Wednesday morning in High Point, North Carolina, according to police.

Dunlap, 45, was found clinging to life while suffering from at least one gunshot wound in a shooting at 1:39 a.m. Wednesday morning.

Officers responded to 1009 Albert Avenue, in High Point, after a woman reported that her boyfriend was shot.

Police immediately began performing CPR after finding the victim, 45-year-old Marvin O. Dunlap. Medical personnel were able to reestablish a pulse before he was taken to the hospital. source

At about 10:48 a.m., the hospital informed investigators that Dunlap had been pronounced dead of gunfire.

Police ask anyone with information on the deadly incident to contact police at 911.
