ISLA VISTA, CA. (THECOUNT) — The Isla Vista Foot Patrol is investigating the death of a college-aged, white male, whose body was discovered around 9:30 AM on Saturday, October 20, 2018, near the surf line just east of the Camino Del Sur beach access in Isla Vista.
The decedent was discovered by a passerby who was walking on the beach. The identity of the decedent is being withheld until a positive identification is made and next of kin is notified.

An investigation is underway to determine the circumstances surrounding his death. At this early stage in the investigation, the circumstances are unknown. Preliminary indications are that the death occurred recently and there are no obvious signs of foul play.
