BEAVERTON, OR. (THECOUNT)Ryan Mutchler, an Oregon youth pastor at Mountain Park Church in Lake Oswego, Oregon, has been arrested and charged with online sexual corruption of a minor and luring a minor.

Mutchler, 30, who also assists the band director at, Aloha High School, is accused of conducting an online chat and text message conversation, with a victim, and later, with an officer, who Mutchler believed to be a 14-year-old girl wanting to “hook up” for sex.

The case into Mutchler was initially opened by investigators after the he allegedly engaged in a series of inappropriate text messages with a real-life underage devotee. The victim’s parents became aware of the those messages and proceeded to contact authorities, who then opened an investigation into Mutchler.

Investigators say, they then posed as a “teen girl” during an online chat sessions with Mutchler who allegedly expressed a desire to engage in a sexual relationship with the fictitious teen.

After documenting the chat evidence, coupled with the previous victim’s and parent statements, police tracked down Mutchler and booked him into the Washington County Jail.

Beaverton police said Ryan Mutchler was arrested on Sept. 7 after he texted an undercover detective posing to be a teen girl for several days. According to police, the texts showed his desires to have a sexual relationship with the girl. source

Mutchler also assisted with the Aloha High School marching band program.

Authorities strongly believe there may be more victims given the suspect’s extensive work with minors.
