BUCHAREST, ROMANIA. (THECOUNT) – Romanian authorities have identified Darrell Bowie, 24, and Joseph McClain, 25, as the U.S. basketball players stabbed in a Bucharest club in eastern Romania.

McClain, (pictured,) is said to be in serious condition after sustaining stab wounds to his chest and stomach during a fight with “locals,” reports say.

Police said Darrell Bowie, 24, and Joseph McClain, 25, who play for local club ACS Cuza Braila were attacked Saturday night in the city after a fight broke out with locals. McClain sustained stab wounds to his chest and stomach and Bowie suffered a perforated lung. source

McClain was transported by helicopter on Sunday to the Emergency Hospital in the capital, Bucharest.

Bowie played for Iowa State University for the 2016-17 season. Before that, Bowie played three seasons at Northern Illinois University.

Bowie’s hometown is Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
