[XXL] After months of legal back and forth, Meek Mill has been freed from jail. It’s been revealed today (April 24) that following a Supreme Court hearing, a judge decided to release the Philadelphia-born artist. The news was first announced by Philadelphia 76ers co-owner Michael Rubin, who has been working closely with Meek since he was first incarcerated back in November of 2017.

XXL has obtained an official statement from Meek Mill discussing his release. “I’d like to thank God, my family, my friends, my attorneys, my team at Roc Nation including JAY-Z, Desiree Perez, my good friend Michael Rubin, my fans, The Pennsylvania Supreme Court and all my public advocates for their love, support and encouragement during this difficult time. While the past five months have been a nightmare, the prayers, visits, calls, letters and rallies have helped me stay positive,” he said.
