A Florida man, who sheriff’s deputies named as “Robert Hembree Jr.,” is accused of forcefully tackling a female jogger and removing her shorts and undergarment on Northdale Lake Park Trail in Tampa, FL.

Detectives with the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office arrested Tampa man, Hembree, 31, who is accused of attacking a female jogger and stealing her shorts. The woman was left shaken and unclothed but other wise unharmed.

The sheriff’s office said Robert Hembree Jr. grabbed a woman from behind, threw her to the ground and removed her shorts and undergarment around 3:41 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 24 on the Northdale-Lake Park Trail. source

Hembree was later arrested for unrelated charges in the area. He later admitted to tackling the victim and “seeing her nude from the waist down.” He confessed to holding the woman’s garments overhead while shouting and running away, a sheriff’s office media release said.

Hembree is charged with sexual assault and petit theft.
