(ORIGINAL STORY) A North Carolina biological father and daughter are under arrested and charged with several felonies after police say they hatched a plot to get hitch after the girl became pregnant.

Steven Pladl‘s wife, who has not been named, told police that her biological daughter, Katie Rose Pladl, unexpectedly returned home after the couple gave her up for adoption way back in 1988. After searching for and locating her biological parents, Katie promptly moved back home.

Three months later, Pladl and his wife got legally separated after he developed a pattern of sleeping “on the floor” in his reunited daughter’s room.

Steven told his other children they should start referring to Katie as their “step-mom”.

In May 2017, Katie and her father moved to Knightdale, N.C. Around the same time, the wife read one of her children’s journals that indicated Katie was pregnant by her own father.

According to a police warrant, Pladl apparently told his other children to call Katie “stepmom” and admitted to his estranged wife that not only was he the father of his daughter’s baby, but that he planned to marry her. A recently-revealed Snapchat photo that made its way to an Instagram account, shows what appears to be dad and daughter in front of a pond, kissing. The female in the photo, reportedly Katie, looks visibly pregnant.source

After an in-depth investigation, authorities obtained arrest warrants for both Katie and her father. When police arrested father and daughter, a baby boy, born in Sept. 2017, was with them. Both suspects were arrested and taken to the Wake County Detention Center.

It’s unclear where authorities took the infant after his parents’ arrest.

Katie and Steven Pladl are charged with contributing to delinquency of a minor, incest with adult, and adultery. Bond for each suspect was set at $1 million. Steven Pladl has since made bond, but Katie Pladl remains behind bars.
