An autopsy is scheduled for Amos of Robeson, later today.

Amos’ body was discovered around 11 a.m. Wednesday on the 300 block of West Main Street.

Pennsylvania State Police spent nearly seven hours combing the wooded area that sits nestled between a residential neighborhood, a coffee warehouse and some railroad tracks. They were searching for clues as to what happened to Amos. source

State police are calling her death suspicious, and investigators said they hope neighbors may have seen something that can help with the case.

“It’s not an isolated roadway. 724 coming in from the west into Birdsboro,” said PSP Trooper David Beohm, a public information officer for Reading-based Troop L. “There’s some businesses there. “If anybody saw anything, even if you think it’s not important at all, please call us and let our investigators decide it’s not important information for us to have.” source

“It’s very quiet around here,” said one local resident. “We’ve only ever dealt with minor speeding or vandalism. But today we have a body.”

Police are asking anyone who may have seen something suspicious in the area to call PSP Reading at 610-378-4011.
