Video Emerges Of Confrontation Leading Up To Lorain Ohio Murder Suicide

Police say they have discovered video from a Lorain, OH, apartment building that shows the prelude to what turned out to be a fatal encounter between Kristen Malonowski, 24, and Jeffrey Shindler, 55. Police were eventually able to identify Shindler from the video, which has not yet been released to the public.

After collecting video evidence, police responded to the Shindler’s home in Amherst Township on Sunday to serve an arrest warrant for murder. Upon officers arrival, Shindler ran to his garage and was later found suffering from a fatal self-inflicted gunshot wound.

According to police, Malonowski was fatally shot Shindler. Officers responded to an apartment building in the 4600 block of Oberlin Avenue late Saturday night for reports of shots fired. When officers arrived, police found Malinowski suffering from several gunshot wounds near the building. She was pronounced dead at the scene. source

A motive for Malinowski’s murder is not yet known.
