Jamahri Sydnor, a Woodrow Wilson High School student, choir member and cheerleader, shot Thursday in northeast D.C, passed away yesterday, according to police.
Sydnor, 17, was shot at around 3:30 p.m. in the 1400 block of Saratoga Avenue on Thursday, authorities say.

Officials found Sydnor and an adult male suffering from gunshot wounds when they arrived on scene. A 21-year-old male was arrested and charged with assault with intent to kill by gun.
Sydnor had recently graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School.

“She was a member of our choir and a cheerleader. She has had a tremendously positive impact on all who know her,” said Woodrow Wilson High School Principal Kimberly Martin.
The D.C. Metropolitan Police Department is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for anyone with information that leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the homicide. source
