He’s being dubbed “Miracle Baby,” after the 4lb infant survived an entire work day in a closed duffel bag. The child was abandoned outside an Atlanta, GA., medical clinic.
Doctors said the infant was abandoned in a gym bag sometime early on Wednesday morning. Clinic workers found the bag when arriving to work and brought it inside the facility. Assuming the bag belonged to a patient, staff members didn’t open it and tossed it in the lost and found closet.
After closing, a nighttime cleaning crew located the bag on top of a stack of lab collection boxes. This time the bag was opened and the infant discovered. Continue reading
A Chicago woman has been arrested and charged after she filmed and narrated a video of her passed out friend being sexually assaulted while intoxicated by an unidentified male.
Beth Rae Harris, 36, then posted the attack on the 23-year-old victim’s Snapchat account.
While the younger woman was unconscious, Harris let an “unidentified man or men sexually assault the victim,” investigators said.
In the video, the victim lay disrobed as an unidentified man grabbed her buttocks and exposed her private parts to the camera. Harris allegedly can be heard narrating the assault on the video, at one point warning the man not to wake the victim. Continue reading
Two men have been killed after being attacked by Africanized bees in Brownsville, TX. The attacks happened within eight days of each other in different locations in the city.
Both men were mowing their lawns when they were attacked.
A Cameron County justice of the peace said both victims died because of the amount of stings they suffered during the attacks. Continue reading
A bear and her two cubs were sentenced to death by Colorado Parks and Wildlife officers Friday after two hikers were “charged at” while on a trail in Jefferson County.
The hikers and their two dogs were unharmed in the incident that took place at around 6:15 p.m. It is unclear how or when the bears were captured and euthanized.
“We realize the sensitivity of citizens to young animals being put down and understand the frustration people feel,” CPW Northeast Regional Manager Mark Leslie said in a news release. “However, we would not be fulfilling our primary goal of public safety if we allow aggressive wildlife to remain on a popular trail so close to humans.” Continue reading
Police have arrested a 34-year-old man in connection to the murder of a Baton Rouge insurance agent.
According to the Baton Rouge Police Department, Daryel Johnson was arrested and charged for the death of Dale Sands, 53.

Remains found Wednesday morning in the Town of Yorkville have been positively identified as missing Milwaukee woman, Audrey Scott, She had been missing since Independence Day.
Police said Scott, 28, was likely the victim of a homicide and that they have “several persons of interest” in custody.
Scott was last seen at McGillicuddy’s bar, near Water Street and Juneau Avenue in downtown Milwaukee. Continue reading
Thomas Daniel Littlecloud has been named as the man who investigators say shot and killed Sacramento County Sheriff’s Deputy Robert French.
Littlecloud, 32, is currently in critical condition following a gun battle with authorities Wednesday afternoon.
A multi-agency auto theft task force was investigating suspects at the Ramada Inn. One stolen vehicle led officers on a chase that ended in Elk Grove. Two women were taken into custody, according to sheriff’s spokesperson Sgt. Tony Turnbull. One woman was released after questioning, the other, 23-year-old Priscilla Prendez, was booked on charges of vehicle theft and evasion. When officers went into the motel to search the room, investigators say Littlecloud opened fire through the door and walls, striking two CHP officers.
Local Indiana boxer, Andrew Rodger, has been named as the man seriously injured in a shooting in West Garfield, TheCount.com has learned.
Police confirmed two people were shot Wednesday night in Elkhart, Indiana, one of those is Rodger, 25, who is listed in serious condition a South Bend hospital.
Just after 8:30 p.m., officers were called to the 100 block of West Garfield where they found a person who had been shot. On Thursday morning, police identified him as 25-year-old Andrew Rodger of Elkhart. He was taken to a South Bend hospital in serious condition. Another victim, now identified as 39-year-old Kory Williams of Elkhart, later walked into an Elkhart hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Continue reading

Police confirmed they found two people dead this week at the budget suite style northeast Memphis hotel.
Tuesday, around 12:30 p.m., 40-year-old Venus Wright, aka, Venus Lia Viera Wright, and her husband, 25-year-old Ladarius Wright, were found deceased in a room.

Lancaster County Sheriff’s Deputies have identified the man involved in a head-on collision as Avery Paulson of Lincoln, Neb. He was 41.
The accident occurred around 3:30 p.m., on Wednesday afternoon after Paulson crossed centerlines and veered into oncoming traffic. Responding police confirmed that one person died in the head on collision.
Paulson was driving a mini van in the eastbound lanes of the highway when for unknown reasons, he veered into the westbound lanes and struck a semi truck head on. The driver of the semi was treated and released on scene. Continue reading
