Kingman father of two, Christopher Charles Watson, has been arrested after biting his child and stranding her in the scorching Arizona desert without shoes or water. Watson said the incident occurred over an “ongoing argument.”

The girl told sheriff’s deputies that her father bit her hand and forced her out of his truck after driving her to the desert. The young girl said she hit her head when she desperately grabbed for the vehicle’s door handle as Watson sped away.

Watson, 28, admitted that he dropped the girl off in the desert without any water or shoes. He also said that after he returned home, he waited about 15 minutes and then went back to get her.

The victim complained of a headache and said her neck hurt. She was taken to Kingman Regional Medical Center where she was treated and released.

The deputies made contact with Watson who said that he and his daughter were having an ongoing argument and he took her for a car ride to “calm her down.”

Watson was taken into custody and booked into Mohave County jail on July 22 on a child abuse charge. The Department of Child Safety also took custody of his 9-year-old son.
