Scarlett Lewis, mother of Jesse Lewis, the first grader purportedly killed along with 25 others after a shooting rampage at Sandy Hook Elementary, has written a book about her experience.
The book, titled, “Nurturing Healing Love: A Mother’s Journey of Hope and Forgiveness,” is receiving a titlewave of one star reviews on Amazon from those who are convinced that the mass murder was in reality, a hoax.

Social media users are inundated with survey scams promising free or heavily discounted goods and services by everyone from Kohl’s to Costco. But now a new hoax survey is targeting Starbucks lovers with the lure of free lifetime coffee passes.
Facebook users were offered embedded links offered a lifetime pass to Starbucks titled “Starbucks Is Giving Free Lifetime Pass on it’s [sic] 44th Anniversary (83 Pass Remaining),” which cloned the style of Facebook-based content.
The embedded links involved a variety of URLs, some of which included entirely unrelated scam-bait terms like “iTunes” and “Apple.” Continue reading
Every single Chipotle restaurant in Washington state and Oregon have been shut down while the Health Authority investigates dozens of E. coli cases that were linked to the popular fast food Mexican eatery.
The agency reports that three people in the Portland area and at least 19 others in Washington state became sickened after eating at area Chipotle restaurants, about one-third of those required hospitalization.
Spokesman Jonathan Modie says people have reported symptoms of infection in Clackamas and Washington counties in Oregon, and Clark, King, Skagit and Cowlitz counties in Washington. Continue reading
Islamic State militants are claiming responsibility for the downing of a Russian aircraft saying the attack was “in response to Russian airstrikes that killed hundreds of Muslims on Syrian land.” The Russian jetliner was carrying over 220 people, mostly tourists, including 17 children.
The unverified statement, written in Arabic, says the flight crash was not a technical error, as reported by security sources. The translated statement read: “The fighters of the Islamic State were able to down a Russian plane over Sinai province that was carrying over 220 Russian crusaders.” Russian officials are not ruling out an attack, however say it is too early to conclude anything.

Yep, yep, yep, yep, yep. Al Molinaro, who played Arnold’s drive-in’s chef on long running series, “Happy Days,” has passed away. He was 96.
Molinaro played “Big Al”, the owner of Arnold’s drive-in, in the classic TV series. He also appeared in the “Happy Days” spinoff “Joanie Loves Chachi.”
His son, Michael, confirmed the actor’s death to TMZ and said that Molinaro suffered from bad gall stones. Continue reading

Authorities have charged a black St. Louis man with arson over setting ablaze two of seven churches in an mostly African-American part of the St. Louis.
Federal investigators say, considering the circumstances, it will be hard to charge, David Lopez Jackson, 35, with committing a hate crime.
Jackson was charged Friday in St. Louis Circuit Court with two counts of second-degree arson in the fires at Ebenezer Lutheran Church and New Life Missionary Baptist Church, both in the city. Continue reading
