Lil’ Chris, the RCA Records recording artist who sang on the 2006 smash hit “Checkin’ It Out,” has died. He was only 24.

Chris, whose last name was Hardman, got his break on Gene Simmons UK TV series, Rock School, in which the Kiss rocker recruited students from Kirkley High School in an effort to form a rock band.

Chris released two albums, a self-titled debut in December 2006 and What’s It All About in October 2008. He also starred in several TV shows, including Celebrity Scissorhands, The Weakest Link and his own show Everybody Loves Lil‘ Chris. h/t mashable

Suffolk Police responded to an address in Union Road, Lowestoft, on Monday. Authorities did not comment on the cause of death, however stated they were not treating the it as suspicious.
