UPDATE BELOW: T.J. Lane, the Chardon High School shooter has escaped from the Allen County Correctional Institution in Lima, Ohio.

Lane busted out of prison along with another inmate, 45-year-old Clifford E Opperud from Carlisle, Ohio is with him, Lima Police posted on Facebook.

UPDATE on the two escaped prisoners.

The two prisoners are Thomas Michael Lane III and Clifford E Opperud. Please share these photos with all your friends. Do not open your doors for strangers. Do not pick up hitch hikers. Call LPD if you see anything suspicious. Officers are currently searching the neighborhoods in the vicinity of the north end of town. You will see law enforcement in your neighborhood. Lane is serving a life sentence for the shooting deaths of Daniel Parmertor, 16, Russell King, Jr., 17 and Demetrius Hewlin, 17, at Chardon High School on Feb. 27, 2012.

UPDATE:

TJ Lane has been captured.

Police scanner traffic indicates he was found around 1:20 a.m. Our Dawn Kendrick reports he was found about a half mile from the prison. According to authorities, he may have been armed with a pitchfork.

TJ Lane and one other prisoner, Clifton Opperund escaped from the Allen Oakwood Correctional Facility just before 8 p.m. Thursday.

It is unknown if Opperund has been apprehended. source
