One of our all-time favorite Big Brother winners, Mike “Boogie” Malin, is embroiled in a rent dispute that just cost him over $10 million dollars!mike boogie big brother

Mike “Boogie” Malin won $500,000 when he was named Big Brother 7 champion, but not that’s nearly enough to cover a recent judges’ order. According to TMZ, Mike, 43, was hit with a $10.5 million judgement for allegedly failing to pay property rent for eight years. They say Boogie and his partner opened the Atlanta restaurant Geisha House and a nearby bowling alley (Ten Pin Alley) but neglected to pay rent, ultimately leading to this judgment.

TMZ added this detail: “By the way … Boogie has all sorts of legal woes.  He was sued by some of his Geisha partners for allegedly embezzling money and using it for gambling and sex.” Eek.

Mika and his best friend Lonnie Moore opened their first L.A. bar in 2001 and formed The Dolce Group in 2003. They were featured on VH1’s Famous Food and their show bio says they have a slate of celebrity investors, including Ashton Kutcher, Chris and Danny Masterson, Laura Prepon, Dule Hill, Wilmer Valderrama, and maybe everyone else from ‘That 70s Show. They’ve opened venues across L.A. and expanded the “empire” to Atlanta, Huntsville, Vegas, Miami and beyond.

Mike is a three-time Big Brother player — first on BB2, where he took eighth place, then on BB7: All Stars, which he won; and again on BB14, where he was a mentor and coach.

Maybe he can return to BB several more times to slooowwwwly pay off this debt. Or maybe they’ll find some way to settle this — time to break out the manipulation and schmoozing skills, Boogie!
