Adam Lambert came out of hiding just long enough to slam new movie Les Miserables on Twitter saying, although it was a visual delight, producers should have employed actors with good voices.
“Les Mis: Visually impressive w great Emotional performances. But the score suffered massively with great actors PRETENDING to be singers,” Lambert wrote on Twitter.
His comments drew a firestorm of attention, forcing the former ‘American Idol’ tart to issue an apology for being so honest. He did not take anything he said back.
Although the movie starring Anne Hathaway and Russell Crowe has been universally acclaimed — it obviously wasn’t Lambert’s cup of tea…
“It’s an opera. Hollywoods movie musicals treat the singing as the last priority. (Dreamgirls was good).”
He even had time to offer advice to the music producers, “should have studio recorded and sweetened the vocals” of the actors in the musical.
“The industry will say ‘these actors were so brave to attempt singing this score live’ but why not cast actors who could actually sound good?” Lambert concluded.
By the way, why don’t they ever hire Lambert for any of these gigs? Could be that is hard to work with? I don’t know, I’m asking.
Wow this is quite the getup! Can’t you just imagine Vanessa Hudgens floating through space? I’m not sure why but when I look at these pictures I get the feeling that, planet Earth is blue and there’s nothing I can do… Now if we can just convince her to take a few of those protein pills.
Commence your countdown and may god’s love be with you…

Looking good girlfriend, you jingled me bells. Now how do I get on this list? I know, not a snowball’s chance in hell…

So I guess you can pretty much make anything out of Legos these days, with the exception of a tasty sandwich. Case in point, one of my favorite movies of all time re-created with, you guessed it, Legos.
Very sad news coming out of Oregon as a tour bus carrying about 40 people lost control on an icy highway and careened off an embankment over 200 feet, killing at least nine passengers.
PENDLETON, Ore.—A tour bus careened through a guardrail along an icy Oregon highway and several hundred feet down a steep embankment Sunday, killing nine people and injuring more than 20 others, authorities said. The charter bus carrying about 40 people lost control around 10:30 a.m. on the snow- and ice-covered lanes of Interstate 84, according to the Oregon State Police. The bus came to rest at the bottom of a snowy slope. More than a dozen rescue workers descended the hill and used ropes to help retrieve people from the wreckage in freezing weather.
The bus driver was among the survivors, but had not yet spoken to police because of the severity of the injuries the driver had suffered.Lt. Greg Hastings said the bus crashed along the west end of the Blue Mountains, and west of an area called Deadman Pass. Stretches of highway in the rural and agricultural area of east Oregon tend to be icy in winter months. The bus slid down the hill and landed upright, with little or no debris visible around the crash site. St. Anthony Hospital in Pendleton treated 26 people from the accident, including some who were treated and then transported to other medical facilities, said hospital spokesman Larry Blanc. In addition to the people who were transferred from St. Anthony to La Grand and Hermiston, Ore., and Walla Walla, Wash., Hastings said. Others were taken directly to hospitals further away, including Boise, Idaho, and Portland, Ore. I-84 is a major east-west highway through Oregon that follows the Columbia River Gorge. Umatilla County Emergency Manager Jack Remillard said the bus was owned by Mi Joo travel in Vancouver, B.C., and state police said the bus was en route from Las Vegas to Vancouver. A woman who answered the phone at a listing for the company confirmed with The Associated Press that it owned the bus and said it was on a tour of the Western U.S. She declined to give her name. A bus safety website run by the U.S. Department of Transportation said Mi Joo Tour & Travel has six buses, none of which have been involved in any accidents in at least the past two years. The bus crash was the second fatal accident in Oregon on Sunday morning. A 69-year-old man died in a rollover accident. A spokesman for the American Bus Association said buses carry more than 700 million passengers a year in the United States. “The industry as a whole is a very safe industry,” said Dan Ronan of the Washington, D.C.,-based group. “There are only a handful of accidents every year. Comparatively speaking, we’re the safest form of surface transportation.” Read more: The Denver Post
The former Miss USA hopeful, Sheena Monnin from PA, who resigned after alleging the Miss USA pageant was fixed, has been ordered to pay Donald Trump $5 million – for defamation.
Monnin signed a contract giving pageant officials the power to pick the top five finalists and the winner, a catch-all that’s never been used.
Trump who co-owns the Miss Universe Organization, sued Monnin for defamation after she trash talked the pageant back in June. Among other things, she claimed a fellow contestant in the competition had seen a list of the top five winners before the finalists were named on stage.
A U.S. District Court Magistrate ruled in favor of the Miss Universe Organization, awarding it a staggering $5 million in damages while admonishing Monnin by saying her statements ‘showed a reckless disregard’.
When asked for her reaction, Monnin said she was “stunned” by the ruling.
Here is a striking example of just how badly a movie can BOMB at the box office. The award of “absolute lowest movie moneymaker of 2012” goes to, “Playback,” starring Christian Slater with a total of just $264. Two hundred and sixty four dollars…
The horror movie set in a small town earned a total gross of $264.00. It was released in theaters the week of March 16 – 22. Calculations show that only 33 people bought tickets to the movie which was distributed through Magnolia.
The film had an estimated budget of $7.5 million!
Slater plays a crooked cop who is working to expose evil in his small town. Oh, how original.
