DENVER COLORADO. – Shaun Thomas, 37, has been charged with criminal mischief and three counts of child abuse after assaulting his girlfriend and her three small children, but this wasn’t just any assault, these folks were subjugated to a raging, real-life scene ripped from a horror movie — all compliments of the latest designer drug, bath salts.

During an argument, the unnamed girlfriend apparently broke free of Thomas’ grip and escaped with the kids through a bathroom window. She made it all the way to her car, managed to get herself and the kids safely inside, locked the doors — turned the key, but suddenly, (like any good horror movie) just as the woman inched the car forward, Thomas appeared in a bath salts induced zombie rage, smashing the front windshield, and proceeding to disable the entire vehicle with his bare hands, including somehow popping all four tires…

The kids watched helplessly from inside the vehicle as Thomas, bloody and growling wildly, attempted to grab at them through the vehicle’s broken windows…

Apparently, Cops arrived on scene “just in time” giving this story a happy ending — but officials will not comment further on what happened next, only saying, “None of the children suffered physical injuries but the windshield and car windows were broken, and the car tires, basically everything,” Lynn Kimbrough from the Denver District Attorney’s Office.

Thomas remains in custody in the Denver Detention Center. His bond is set at $10,000. His next court appearance is scheduled for Friday.
