At the Hollywood red carpet premiere of Brad Pitt’s new film Inglourious Basterds, he was interviewed by CNN and asked about his gay marriage statement in Parade Magazine. Brad told Parade Magazine that he and Angelina Jolie decided that they weren’t going to get married until gay marriage is legal. CNN tried to dive deeper into the subject of gay marriage with Brad, but he refused to go overly in depth with the interview. At the end of the interview, Brad called upon Barbara Walters to ‘ask him more about the subject of gay marriage’!
Is this an invitation for a one-on-one with Barbara and Brad? I don’t think Brad wants to deal with any media other than the one we can trust-Barb! CNN: What is the importance to why you and Angelina will not marry until gays can get married?
Brad: “I certainly don’t think anyone has the right to tell anyone what to do with their lives-it bugs the s*it out of me to tell you the truth…and there’s no more time for that, there’s no more place for that.”
CNN: Why pick that cause with all the social injustice going on in the world… why align your potential for marriage with the gays?
Brad: “Really, truthfully I kind of said it as a ‘one off’, ya know ‘off the cuff’ as a ‘dig’ at people, telling other people how to live their lives and I got so much response from it, positive and negative which was really interesting to me…and we decided there’s more to it here.”
CNN: Ya, you’re the kind of guy that keeps supporting what he actually believes in [gets cut off by Brad too soon]…
Brad: [Brad interrupts interviewer] “Ya know what? Ah-No no no-I’m not goin’ there, that was too much. Only Barbara Walters can get that out of me.”
Brad is-a callin’ ya Barb! He wants to get something out!
