Alexis Cohen
An arrest has been made in the hit-and-run death of Alexis Cohen, former American Idol contestant and viral video star.
TMZ reports that 23-year-old Daniel Bark has been booked on charges of death by reckless driving and leaving the scene of an accident. If convicted, he could spend up to 15 years in the slammer. Personally, that seems pretty light to me.
Cohen was hit and killed by Bark’s car in Seaside Heights, New Jersey over the weekend. Her body was found by pedestrians. She was famous for her spastic, over-the-top rant against the judges of AI after being rejected.
UPDATE: It looks like prosecutors are trying to upgrade the charges, adding on counts of manslaughter, death by auto and eluding police.
