Funny thing, I was just watching “Contact” with Jodie Foster, wondering, “What’s up with Foster these days?” This morning I got my answer… “Beaver.”

Call Mel Gibson crazy for starring in “Beaver,” to be directed by Foster, a film about a depressed man who goes around with a beaver hand puppet, thinking it’s a real beaver.  Foster will also star as Gibson’s wife.

Foster has directed “Little Man Tate” in 1991 and “Home for the Holidays” 1995. Gibson and Foster last appeared together in 1994 “Maverick.”

    This should prove interesting.
