Hurray for Team Falco! Nurse Jackie, the newest Showtime series came through in a big way on Monday night. With the season premiere of Weeds to lead in viewers, the show attracted 1 million viewers for it’s first showing and another 350,000 for the repeat following. It was the most watched Showtime series premiere ever! They already ordered another 13 episodes.
I must say that the show was awesome which is no surprise because Showtime has some of the best scripted shows on television. From Dexter, Weeds, Californication, and Diablo Cody’s United States of Tara, the shows are impossibly well written, funny, and feature the best actors of or generation.
I wish there was some way to order a medley of personally chosen tv shows instead of purchasing packages of channels I never watch, then I’d get cable. Since there’s not I’ll keep deleting my grandma’s Perry Mason and Outer Limit reruns on her TiVo to make room for my super awesome Showtime shows.
