Kris Allen at NBA finals
Entertainment Tonight is reporting that American Idol Kris Allen, wearing a black t-shirt and denim jeans, belted out the national anthem to cheers and applause. The crowd included stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Jack Nicholson, Zac Efron, Mark Wahlberg, Diddy, and Adam Levine.
I personally had the “pleasure” of watching your American Idol sing our country’s most pride filled anthem. “O’er the laaaannnnddddd offf tthhheee frraaaaaayyyyy…” Fray? Not free. Allen sang right before his voice cracked on the final note. Somewhere in a beautiful WeHo loft Adam Lambert is going through his piles of possible recording contracts and stacks of hit songs he has to choose from and cackling his ass off because Lambert would’ve brought the roof down in the Staples Center with his rendition. Oh America, first George W. Bush then Kris Allen. When will we learn?
