The contestant who will win The Bachelor 13 may have been revealed in the first episode. In a television broadcast of the season teaser, Jason Mesnick is shown proposing to a woman with her back to the camera.
Closer inspection shows the woman wearing a gold pinkie ring. There is also a contestant appearing throughout episode one, wearing a gold ring on the same finger.
A YouTube member used a DVR’s freeze frame feature to highlight the ring, the footage was then uploaded to the popular video sharing website. The video had received almost 60,000 views at the time this story went to press.
If the video evidence holds up, it would prove a huge blunder for producers and the network. There is no telling how advertisers would react. A source close to the production told ThecounT.com exclusively “This is reality TV, when you give away the ending, you have nothing left.” “If suspense that producers count on to keep the viewers interested has been tainted, then the entire season would be a wash.” “The show uses a common reality TV format to keep viewer’s attention, when that element is taken away, why watch? you turn the channel.”
