50 Cent told Sun Media shorty before the debut of his new reality show, “Donald Trump says that my show is a copy of The Apprentice and it’s gonna fail because I’m not Donald Trump,” 50 said, “The first thing I do when I look at that is I start laughing because he’s right, I’m not Donald Trump. But he’s wrong: It will be successful.”

50 Cent

Trump may be laughing last as it is being reported by MediaTakeOut.com that 50′s MTV/ MuchMusic show ‘The Money and the Power’ which may indeed be canceled after only 6 episodes and with 6 contestants remaining. The show was last seen last Friday at 1am. It may be a first for reality TV, canceled before the finale. The hour-long show sees two teams of aspiring entrepreneurs vying for $100,000 out of 50′s own pocket. A visit to the MuchMusic.com website does still show episode #7 “Expand and Protect Your Turf” airing on 1/4/2009 at 7:00 PM. I guess it’s a wait and see, or not see situation.

One of the guys that was a “contestant” on the show is from Indy and he was telling about his story in our local entertainment paper. His name is DaJuan Watkins and he said a lot of the show was SCRIPTED. Go figure!! Watkins was booted on the 4th episode. He said Fiddy told him he respected him (Watkins). He also said there was a 40 page contract before he was put on the show! Wow!
Watkins says he has remained friends with Fiddy and that he flew him back to NY for one of his concerts!
You can find the article on http://www.indy.com in the section named Faces.
Interesting!! He didn’t talk about being paid anything.
